We're still not exactly sure who among us is buying MIDs, but as with those mysterious video glasses, it's abundantly clear that someone, somewhere definitely is. Take Viliv's X70, for instance. This thing's been around the world a time or two in more than one iteration, but at long last, the E70EX has departed Hong Kong and landed on US soil. Over at NewEgg, the X70EX Express P, X70EX Premium P and X70EX Premium 3GP are available for immediate shipment, though you'll still have to justify the $599.99, $729.99 and $879.99 (respectively) price tags. FIRST of all, the Archos 9 looks better for the price, and just plane looks better
You're a fool for several reasons. Not least of all because it's obvious that planes look better than MIDs.

IMO this product is hitting the market too late, and with less-than overwhelming features for the price. Also, LMAO at Silicon Siren's comeback...

I get frustrated by the so-called 'specs' that newegg posts.
For example, if this thing has a capacitive touch-screen, I want one. On the other hand, if it's yet another resistive touch-screen, it's garbage and I'm not interested. newegg says it has 'touch screen'.
Also, does anyone know if it's easy to put a Linux o/s on these things... or boot from a USB drive? Windows XP is so lame.

After coughing almost $400 for 250GB Archos 5 (pre-Archos OS), I make it an exception to not ever buy things until about 8 months after it has launched.
Is my reasoning bad?
Dynamism has a slightly better price with a processor upgrade for the express model along with a car kit. I'm planning to get either this or the Archos 9 when window 7 comes out.

I'm one of the people who bought an MID... A Viliv S5 and I love it.
Overpriced and underpowered.
Let me know when it has a CULV Core 2 Duo, 4GB of RAM, and and a coupon for a free Win7 upgrade like the new ASUS UL30. Oh, and drops $200...
