These colours do look kinda like cheap cases. I have yet to see a colour to beat my lovely Crimson/Black DS Lite.
It's true. The DS Lite does look better than the DSi. Unless you have a major thing for the matte look, the DSi case just looks cheaper. At least it has a glory hole built in though...
Nintendo doesn't want to go back to the candy gloss cases cause you kept eating them.

Come on, you guys seriously don't think the DSi looks too plain and cheaply made? Nintendo needs to bring back that high-gloss plastic coating and the snazzy logo on the lid.
Definitely disagree with that. I hate the high-gloss plastic coating, the logo was cool, but I hate gloss in general. Gloss coating makes things look pretty nice in a display case, but after touching them and getting fingerprints all over them, I will pass. I am very happy with my DSi and I think it feels very solid and looks very solid. I guess its just personal preference.
That way these are laid out looks like modern art. I can't justify a DSi over my current DS, but it is a great system for those new to portable gaming. I look forward to the true next-gen portable from Nintendo, whenever that happens.
And Nintendo still doesn't want to give the USA a black (ahem sorry.. kuro) Wii...
...bundled with Monster Hunter 3 would be spiffy as well.

In that picture they look like a stack of pencil boxes to me.
Since it is for Europe I guess they would be colour.
They look really low quality.....
I think the only way to bring back the DS is to have it actually play GOD games, and be better graphics-wise than a PSP.

Why, Nintendo why?! DS Lite looked great. Why did you make The DSi look like a crappy japanese cheap overloaded with functions gadget? Dear Mr. Iwata, when designing next Wii, please hire designers of the DS Lite back.
