stop it already.
PS3 LEFT XBOX IN THE DUST!
If by "in the dust," you mean "1/20th closer," then yes, Xbox is clearly in the dust, just 20 laps ahead.
Dreamcast ftw!
uh ok, thanks for the input.
you beat me to it.
1 million units in just 3 weeks? That's a record.

One step closer to completing the entire console generation!
engadget is not a game console?
60 gig model FTW!!, ... of course mine has a 500 gig drive in it, but its the hardware EE that counts and the extra two usb ports
The PR says worldwide, which renders the fact pretty much non-impressive. I guess on a worldwide scale the Wii still performs better and considering the price drop to $199 will continue to do so. I might be wrong tho.
Amusing that the PS3 is gaining success at the same time the PSP Go is going to flop.
You gotta wait for the PSPgo Slim release in a year's time.
HA HA! Estoy usando el internet
How old are you? 10?
Who cares if you are using the internet?
It's great news, Sony seem to be lifting the bar now and setting the way. Let's hope it continues across the board with the other console manufactures.
Could it be that some people are buying the PS3 slim because their own console has recently died? I know of two people personally who had their PS3 die around the same time as the slim release. Coincidence? I'll let you be the judge.
Ok there, Michael Moore
Sure, that could be happening... But that still doesn't change the numbers sold. Probably akin to people buying new 360s because they wanted an Elite or HDMI model, or maybe their original model died. Again. And then died again, out of warranty, making an Arcade model purchase more expensive than a repair but also giving me (oh wait, I'm talking about ME here!) one of the newer 360s, hopefully more dependable than my previous models.
Anyway, I laugh when I see that argument - people really throw that around like millions have sold because people are replacing their busted models. It can't really have that sort of impact on the 3 week sales numbers, I would guess.
So would you claim that it would be more than it is for all the 360's which RROD's or get error 74 ? *cause it's not like that has counted into the amount of sold xboxes in any way......;)
You know... Chin Chin チンチン in Japanese means Penis. I thought there was going to be some correlation to that and the slim PS3. What, no?
Funny how all you guys notice that, but fail to notice the multiple posts already mentioning it.
Been too busy with work lately to enjoy mine but the cheaper price, and blue ray player sold me. I've got a wii, and the fun factor is unmatched, but at the new price point for the ps3, and different type of gaming, I just couldn't pass this up!
Bought CECHA01 PS3 for $217.50 as soon as the slim was announced.
LOL. This pic is full of tits and awesome.
That is Thurston Howell III from one of the best shows ever made, Gilligan's Island. I had to give props for the picture.
