Wait now.. According to Sprint commercials, you will end up paying hundreds of dollars less over the life of that two year contract.. right? Why do people freak out about an extra $100 or so up front, if you end up saving a shit ton more then that overall?

So completely agree. Someday a US telecom will offer to rate prices in half in exchange for the loss of $250 subsidies. For me that would amount to about $400/year savings, or $800 over the life of a device.
