The Engadget Show: Hands-on with Times Square
In addition to our full length Engadget Show, we'll be doing short segments on a wide variety of topics which we're hoping will delight, inform, or at least entertain for a few, precious moments.
Ever wondered who makes the outrageous displays in Times Square? Now you'll know. Josh talks to Meric Adriansen from D3 LED, the man who designs and builds those massive structures, and goes behind the scenes to see the rigs from the other side. Want to get deep inside of the art and science behind the light pollution that is -- literally -- New York's most visible spot? Watch the video... and subscribe to the RSS / iTunes feed below (we're still waiting on Zune Marketplace approval).
Also, if you missed the premiere of the show with Palm CEO Jon Rubinstein, you can see it here.

I must say--he's a real natural host. Despite the awkwardness inherent in geekdom, he acts quite naturally in front of the t.v. They made a good choice on who to host.
pretty awesome piece
and great closer!!!
Very cool! Cheers Josh, great little video. Well shot, produced, edited and presented. Impressed!

"Whoa, what's that over there..."
Useless information? Sure, I can deal with it. Usually it titalates my thinking outside the box.
But this gag, I actually felt 2 IQ decibels die out within my brain + I felt like it was the most uninteresting information I could have asked for.
Get better & more creative topics. I'd rather hear about the whack job in the corner living in cardboard who coincidentally wrote an operating system. Now there's a story.
GRADE: C-
How did we ever live without the Engadget Show?
That Topolsky character should clean himself up. His appearance takes away from what he is saying.
