LG's
BL20 Chocolate -- the younger sibling of the insane
BL40 Chocolate Touch -- has recently been making a real splash around these parts. Ever since we got our hands on it, we've been wondering when we'd hear some official pricing and launch information, and the wait seems to be coming to an end. It looks like the slider is going to run in the neighborhood of about €269, according to LG's own website, which has also thrown up a few never-before-seen shots of the handset. That's about all the news for now, but hit the read link to check out a few more snaps of this beauty, and be sure to have a gander at our own hands-on gallery below.
Kinda expensive
Ya, it looks sexy, but a bit pricey.
Wow, finally the ultimate touch screen remote for our home cinema components with widescreen preview.... wait... did anybody say telephone? Bummer. Thought it was kind off expensive for a remote.
Why would anyone get this over the amazing iphone?
b/c monthly fee might be cheaper?
what kind of OS this has? cant they go with a generic OS like winmo or android?
HTD hit the nail on the head. I don't need a dataphone. That being said, I imagine the market for premium dumbphones without qwerty keypads is also shrinking a bit. I know my next phone will have a qwerty board.
No kidding. Especially for €269.
fugly a-s-s thing.
"thrown up" is right. It's a really weird choice to release a dramatically worse version of something so soon after the real thing. Then again, only dweebs like us know there's another chocolate phone, so whatever.
How is it a "worse version"? It makes perfect sense to capitalise on the low and mid-high end of the market all in one go. For those that can't afford, or simply don't want a phone without the tactility of buttons, they can get the same styling for a better price.
LG always over price their retail price, but most store will likely sell this 30-50% less then what it retail said. Just look those LG TV.
pass
Bear in mind, that's the no-contract price. That'll translate to free on any contract.
Hmm.. I think ive seen this before. O wait, its a clone of the sony ericsson g705.
