3M's MPro 120 didn't really add a whole lot of spice to the currently drab pocket projector lineup, boasting a simple VGA resolution, 4:3 aspect ratio and image quality suitable for presentations alone. Granted, the 12 lumens and 4 hours of battery life both trump figures on the decidedly impressive SHOW WX (which has 10 lumens and 2 hours of life), but in the wide world of beamers, it's the picture quality that matters most. We took a peek at the latest MPro here in Japan, and while the results were less than impressive underneath the lights, the sub-$330 street price in the US is definitely admirable. If you'll recall, the laser / PicoP-based SHOW WX is slated to retail right around $500, while this bugger can be found right now in trusted e-tailers for over a Benjamin less. 'Course, 3M might want to inform its booth attendant of this little matter, as the (erroneous) $600 price quote we got from a certain someone definitely shocked us momentarily. Video's after the break.
The 3m mpro 120 packs a punch when you pull it out of your pocket as most people still havent seen one of these in action so you always get the wow factor when you can present an image bigger than a laptop screen just about anywhere. I really like being able to connect this personal projector to my mobile phone and play back videos rented from itunes. Being able to do this on the move is great and a 4 hour battery life means i can watch the movie in full without mains.
If you want 3 times brighter with in-built memory and laptop connectivity then you need to go for the Adapt 305 which launches at the end of Oct from the Personal Projector online store http://www.personalprojector.co.uk/catalog/product_info.php/products_id/29#Adapt305. Otherwise the 3m mpro 120 is your best bet if you want to connect to a laptop for £250 (also from Personal Projector).
As many reviews say 12 lumens is worthless with lights on. And it sucks that you can't go to Bestbuy or Office Depot or whatever and look before you buy - The P2 is still not bright enough for outdoor work (in a tent / canopy) but works pretty will in the classroom with lights off so unfortunately I'm going to have to purchase another projector for field use (haven't found a good one yet)

Three-dog reference in three, two...
no
So the 3M booth attendant either lied or was ill-informed about the probable retail price of Microvision's ShowWx device? Insecure much?
Ban this asshat. He is just advertising his stupid blog.
if this is the beginning of something great... I"m not seeing it.... yet.
I wan't more bright.... make it 3x bigger and 3x brighter and I'm cool with it
That looks remarkably like the AAXA P2.

The Aaxatech P2 comes in at 33lumens and 800x600 resolutions. I've seen a few reviews online. Seems like http://www.aaxatech.com/products/p2_pico_projector.htm is the only place to get it though.
I have the AAXA P2 projector. The 3M one is nice because:
1. Long battery life
2. Really small
Other than that the AAXA P2 blows it away. I bought mine from http://www.hollywooddj.com/aaxa-p2-pico-projector.html
