This has to best semi-portable gaming laptop of 2010!
One has to admit, Sony makes some pretty good looking laptop. It is like:
Sony Laptops = Jessica Alba, Halle Berry, Scarlet Johanson
HP Laptops = A pretty cheerleader from your high school squad.
Dell Laptops = Your best friend's sister.
....
Lenovo Laptops = The travesty from Shrek.
i dont think the ideapad line looks that bad.
Apple Laptops: That obnoxious hot chick who's always with somebody with lots of cash. Wears lots of make-up, and makes a big deal out of appearance and status.
I also don't think Lenovo's laptops are that bad; I'd compare them more to, let's see, a mid-age female law school teacher. Or a military drill sergeant. :P
Oh, I forgot about Apple Laptops. Hehe. But Nemein got it pretty right.
Apple Laptops = It is like a porn actress - has the same things other women have, it is overrated, its real assets are inflated to create hype, you have to pay a lot to get down with a really good one, and they say they don't have virus, but who really knows ? :S
You forgot Asus, the who is the girl average looking girl dress all nice, and in the right dress actually looks better than average.

I guess this article must be turning your views on Sony laptops upside down eh Uncontrol, since in the Vaio X article you posted:

CW is stupid: they won't partner with Hulu and let us watch shows on a GOOD streaming service. I'd bitch about Smallville, but frankly I don't even care anymore.

Looks nice but multi-touch trackpads and backlit keyboards should be standard these days.
I think I'll wait for an SW. It seems to be promising based off of this.
Yet the Sony has a better gpu, offer the bag of hurt blu-ray, goes up to 2.88ghz which I am pretty sure the 13in MBP does not offer, and all in a price that is lower than the MBP. That has to factor in. Then again this could be hackintoshed.
Because everything looks ugly compared to a MacBook, right? Wake up, Sony makes some great laptops, and hell, that new Dell Latitude spotted not too long ago looks amazing. Your opinion holds no value whatsoever if you spew Apple propaganda with for no reason other than to piss people off. It's the poor people on the internet like you that give real Mac users a bad reputation, and it's a shame because I can guarantee you that all the Mac users I know are far from being the pretentious, stereotypical geeks that Apple haters make them out to be. How insulting. If you hadn't noticed, that recently released survey showed that most Mac users use Windows and OS X machines side-by-side. They're both good, get over it.
This is a good laptop and yet because it doesn't have a shiny fruit logo, you bash it. You've really enlightened me, maybe I should strive to be more like you! But I'm having a hard time imitating you. You're post is too faded for me to see.

I would love this laptop if it wasn't so chubby. The specs are nice but the dimensions aren't :(

1st photo looks pretty nice, then looks a bit chunky...kinda like thinking that woman walking in front of you looks attractive until you get a glimpse of a not so attractive face

Look very thin one the picture, however when it is turn to it's side it is freakin' fat.

OK I found the specs:
T9600 CPU
Up to 500Gb disk
Up to 8GB RAM (DDR2)
NVIDIA® GeForce® GT230M GPU with 512MB dedicated VRAM or NVIDIA® GeForce® GT210M GPU with 256MB dedicated VRAM (yay OS X could be runnable)
1366 x 768 Resolution (boo, what ever happened to the 1440x900 14" displays?)
16:9 aspect ratio is what happened to 1440x900. As much as I loath the fact that 16:9 is the new universal widescreen ratio for monitor's/laptops I still might pick up a CW because I really need a laptop with a better battery life *looks at my asus c90s*.
Also I will never buy a 16:9 ratio monitor unless all 16:10 are discontinued and no longer in production. I'd miss the vertical space WAY to much. I don't give a damn if I don't get black bars when I watch movies on my computer. I'm not watching them 24/7 now am I?
