i have a mini usb keyboard with the usb plugged in the back all the time, its pretty great.
I got one about two months ago in anticipation of FB, Twitter, etc being added. It is pretty nifty.
Amazon (did? I haven't checked before posting this) has that bundle with PGR4 (lol) a headset, chatpad, and 12 month card for like 60 bucks.Great deal if you need any of those things + can use the 12 months.
