NuLink is $5 a month, not nearly as pricey as the last sentence of the story implies. However five hundred dollars for any window mounted GPS is silly now.
and the 2 year contract isn't worth a dime! why not just give us a usb port that can pick up an IP address... then I can link my bberry in modem mode and voila - no 2 year contract needed, no need for the extra cell hardware on my gps
