Someone should fix the aspect ratio of that car image, it got stretched vertically.
If it leans like that, doesn't it just means it has really soft suspension? You can make any car "lean like a motorocycle"...
Exactly what I was thinking! Why in the world would I want the handling dynamics of an old Ford F-150 pickup truck???? I'd much rather take a stable, tight, race car like suspension, that doesn't exhibit any wobble thank you.
the driver isn't making the thing lean with his weight. it's mechanically done. even with a "soft suspension" you wouldn't be able to get the car to lean using body weight
Finally- a personal transportation vehicle that looks halfway safe and has pretty cool styling. Honda or Suzuki should have done this years ago. This is the type of vehicle that we should be driving to work instead of wasting three unoccupied seats like we do in most cars. I don't care if runs on gas or electricity, If it has a 250 mile range, can easily cruise at 75mph, has a decent stereo and cost less than $15K to buy you can sign me up tomorrow.

Instead of laughing at it, i'd rather give a big applause to Japs for developing such a beatifull futuristic concept, which is actually finalized and ready for production. Think of what we do in America? Making Chargers, Vettes, Mustangs. Engine sizes like 5.0 or 6.0 and U.S is pushing the world for global CO2 controlling, get real! What happened to the Chevy Volt? Nissan's and Toyota's already building "Volt" like cars on their production conveyors already... It is sad to see how dumb and stubborn people are...
You know, your anti american bigotry appears to have effected your learning. Ford and other American car makers like Tesla are very innovative.
You think it's funny to call Japanese people 'Japs' and bash America? It's just pathetic. You are too lazy to get out there and develop anything yourself, so you think bashing America is good enough to make you helpful. Nope. Nissan always has crazy tech demo ideas, and I love it, but if you really care about CO2 then it's up to you to develop an electric car. That's the American way.
It should be noted that GM has developed concept cars like this, along with electric vehicles that do indeed work, achieve over 200 mpg, etc. etc.
But the politics and corruption have them touting them only at auto-shows for decades, to be rolled back into the closet after every election year.

I had been following that one for quite sometime but I doubt it's ever going to get made. I'd like to say I'm glad Nissan is working on something like this but it seems to be more of a tease since it's only a concept and car manufacturer's never seem to do anything with their cool concepts. Not to mention this one is kind of ugly.
Well, no one would buy this car (it would probably cost more than a nice BMW). That's why you don't see crazy concepts for sale. Nissan has a reputation for lots of technology that actually does make it into their expensive models.
I am excited to see them having fun with their work.

why didn't they show the flow of normal traffic, plus some freeway action. this place looks like abandoned.
These miniature cars would be OK if all other cars were similar weight. In an accident with a heavier car you'd be crushed. Basically you'd be the "air bag" for the seat.
FALSE: Version 2.0 of this car will do a barrel roll right out of the way of oncoming Suburbans. Press Z or R twice and flop flop flop... you're cruising away from the scene of the accident.

Interesting concept, however, two things:
1. That thing has to be impossible to clean without the world's thinnest brush to fit between those exterior panels.
2. What happens if the road is banked incorrectly (it's very rare but not unheard of)? There's a turn like that here in my town that causes many dangers to motorcyclists and general motorists especially if the pavement is wet (even though you shouldn't be cycling in the rain anyway).
Anyway, my point is: While this is an intriguing concept, I just don't see a practical, safe use for it unless it's somehow incorporated into a theme park ride. ;)
Btw: I do agree that this would be really fun to drive. Don't get me wrong. :)
The soundtrack lulls you to sleep....not the best way to promote a car. If I want to ride on two wheels I pull my ATV up on its side and ride like a wild man.....

This thread is why I absolutely hate hate hate car people. Seriously, WTF? It's ugly? In what world? I'd love to drive this and no it doesn't need a viper engine or be able to drag-race some tard in a four banger who thinks the spoiler hotglued to the truck makes him Vin Diesel.. It looks like a lot of fun and damn the SUVs on the road.
