And yet there is no mainstream news coverage of the persistent battery problems and warnings. Apple, I've been dealing with inefficient power management for a month now? It's about time there was a fix for that too.
No you're right, it could be worse. I could listen to people like you all day, bashing another OS when it's completely useless and unnecessary. Just saying.
I've been discussing this problem with others on Apple's support boards as well as with other users that I know; it's not just me. I am merely stating that it is a problem for some. The issues exist. I have found that my Mac also refuses to go to sleep sometimes even though it's been idle for an extended period of time.
It's a fact that there is problem, just not that it's widespread. But there are most likely hundreds of similar users, if not thousands, having to deal with normal batteries failing and/or draining excessively for no apparent reason. I'm one of 'em. Not fun at all.
Your ignorance misguides you. I have two batteries since I have a 2007 MBP. Funny that I ALREADY bought a new battery not too long ago. I've been acquainted with Macs for years. I know a thing or two, and I certainly know how to take good care of my laptop; it works just as well as it did when I got it. I wouldn't say SL causes the large drain both of my notebook batteries unless I was sure of it. I have, after all, had a month to monitor the problem. It all started the day I upgraded, and as a Mac user, that bothers me greatly. Perhaps you shouldn't make such quick assumptions.

Your subjective experience with 1 apple laptop != fact

Maybe you need to replace your battery....oh wait, it's built in

You are correct. Snow Leopard is one efficient file deleting software program. Windows on the other hand..
Just sayin.

So many problems with Apple. yet I have none. its the same for windows. so many problems yet I have none on my windows rig.
Maybe someone should consider user error for once. Wait, that's too easy. It's easier to blame someone else.
Believe me, you have no idea how much I wish my problems were due to user error...
