Epson's PictureMate Charm is the cutest photo printer we ever did see
Epson's PictureMate line is one with a long-standing history, but as with most everything else in consumer electronics, the latest in the lineup seems to have shrunk. The appropriately named PictureMate Charm is a kinda-sorta portable printing solution, delivering 4- x 6-inch color prints in as little as 37 seconds. The mini printer also boasts a 2.5-inch LCD, a multicard reader, optional Bluetooth support (via a separate adapter) and room for either 150 glossy sheets or 100 matte sheets of 4- x 6-inch paper. It'll ship next week a buck-fifty, but the replacement ink and sheet packs will probably drive you into bankruptcy.

uhhhhh wtf
Is that a College Humor rap battle reference? I'll double down on my nerdom by pointing out that I think it's "prettiest printer that I ever did see".
On a side note, I think the dude with the beard from the featured rap improv group, Freestyle Love Supreme, was an actor on "House" a few episodes back.
Awwwwww, look at it print the little 4x6's!
Since when did a "buck" mean "$100"?
@ Zack
You're a disgrace to humanity.

just imagine...a polaroid camera of 2009...
Eh.

$1.50?!? That's cheap! I'll take 100 units please :P
Is there still someone so stupid to still buy Epson printers?
Wow, where have you been. When it comes to professional photography, Epson is where it's at
And when it comes to getting the shaft with their ink scam, epson is where it's at as well.
It'd kinda be nice, though, if the screen showed the whole picture that was going to print out. If you're deciding on what to print solely by what it looks like on screen, then you might not have printed the above photo because "Dad's" halfway cut off on screen, but he's whole in the actual print.
I have an older one... that I remember buying reconditioned for like $40. It does print really well as long as you aren't trying to print something that's humongous. It's a noisy sum-bum but the print quality is nice. And the inks are a might pricey but I guess I don't print enough 4 x 6 pictures to run though it that quick. The nice thing is they can run on a battery so you can take it outside with you and if you just HAVE to print something off your camera's memory card quick you can.
Other than the charming smaller screen what is the difference from the prior PictureMate Dash that had the 3.6" LCD???
Is it me or does it look like a white lunchbox "mini cooler"?
Hey! Someone put a photo printer in my GameCube!
Should have called it "Photobucket".
@Ninbrendo. It does remind me of a GameCube, haha.
Could someone please recommend a good photo printer? Thanks.
The Epson PictureMate Dash PM260 (which will probably be discontinued once this is released) has a 4/5 star rating from ~90 reviews on Amazon; or the Canon SELPHY CP760, which has 4.5/5 rating from ~50 reviews, but is priced at 49.99. I'm in the market for one myself, though I think I'm gonna wait until this one is released and reviewed before deciding.
I assume there is no option for an external battery?
OMG guys, you had do it didn't ya !
I read it as " Epson's PictureMate Charm is the cutest photo printer we êver did ", and gasped in disbelief that some Engadget bloggers had gone rogue and are revealing their Sexual vices in a "say-it-all" blog post ; Only to be disappointed while reading the next word, "See".
Next time, just go with a Generic title, dammit. So much for wanting to prove some douché bags right ! ;P
Looks like a breadmaker.
