Timely, no? Exactly a year to the day after the
CEIVAlife and CEIVAshare went on sale, the creator of those has decided to out its first digiframe since, and we've got to say -- the Pro 80 is a refreshing change of pace in the drab
digital photo frame world. Aside from accepting images via the traditional means (USB, memory cards and telepathy), this one can also take in new pixels via a cameraphone or computer... wirelessly! The built-in WiFi module enables networked PCs to pass along slideshows, while PicturePlan customers ($6.95 per month) can send photos in from their mobiles. In case that's not nearly enough to excite you, there's also free CEIVA Channels (ABC News, ESPN, etc.) to keep you occupied. She's all yours for $179.99, or $147.99 if you snag it this holiday season.
The frame costs as much as that puppy.
and I would rather have that puppy.
i wouldn't mind taking them both, the girl and the puppy... the frame.. i will have to pass
MMS...just in time for iPhone to send stuff to this!
Ill take three womens hockey jerseys.
can it read my pictures from my NAS?
that would be awesome..otherwise sorry ! who leaves a pc on all the time its old fashioned :)
Why do they have to charge? You can send MMS messages to gmail for free.
It's a spamalanche!
My Igala touch screen , wifi digiframe, does much more than this accepts photos also from Picasa, Flikr, Gmail etc, from my Nas and/or all networked PCs, plays movies and vids, and while showing slideshows or anything else plays net radio or music files via wifi or all other imputs.
I plugged it to an Harman kardon sound sticks, put it in my kitchen and it keeps me a lot of company when I am cooking.
I use it as much as the kitchen 22" Samsung networked LCD TV (which also has DVD player and usb port).
Oh yes and I also payed less than this even though it was shipped from the US via UPS.
I thought iGala doesn't support video.
Hi I was considering buying the Igala but The most important feature for me is the sharing of pictures from a DNLA server or network share. I cant find anything on the Igala forums, so are you saying it will do this because Ill get one.
I'm sorry id I noticed your questions only now, The answers are that the iGala does support video, actually it has a menu entry just for vids.
As for DLNA streaming , I'm not really sure what that's mean (is it different from uPnp?), but the iGala gets connected to my WIFI home network and streams music, vids, and of course pics, from my NAS and/or from anyone of the connected PCs.
I have read that it's also very easy to add more codecs to those it supports out of the box, or to plug a BT adapter (for headphones or even kboards) but I never felt the need to try.
I have also seen a guy who successfully plugged an USB DTV-B adapter so that he can also see TV on his iGala, but since I have a TV in the kitchen where I have the iGala, I never felt motivated enough to try.
Cool but I don't know if I have a single picture on my phone that I would put in a picture frame
Hmm. Capture you drunken idiocy on cell phone, text it to your picture frame sitting by your bed, and when you wake up the next morning, you'll be able to re-live your shame!
Better yet, the frame should be at someone else's house... like your mom's.
The T-Mobile Cameo was much better deal after the price drop.
$29.99 (I think) and $2.00/month service plan. It's not complicated or all fancy but it does the trick of showing pictures. I bought 3 for my family and now we keep them updated with our family photos.
the MS frameit service looks like a great application - not sure how they are making money out of it but very cool image control though.
