Why hang on to your emotions when you can wag them proudly with a robotic mood tail? Sure, you may never have asked that question yourself, but intrepid DIYer Wei-Chieh Tseng seemingly has, and he's done something about it. Apparently, the tail makes use of the ever dependable Arduino and an RFID reader to detect different emotion cards that set off varying degrees of tail-wagging, or you can simply control the tail yourself using a Wii nunchuck -- because, why not? Did we mention there's a video? Check it out after the break.

lolzz it's so funny that while emotions (or at least their RFID counterparts) control the tail's motion, the video is completely void of any emotion what so ever. +1 for the straight-faced efficiency while doing something so hilarious and awesome

That's cool. The idea using the Wiimote to control it is great. Better than what I had in mind for one. A little work on the control board and it'd be just about perfect. Idk how practical the RFID thing is though. Waving smiley icons over your butt looks kinda funny, you know. But anyway.
Oh, and why am I the first to ask just where in the heck IS he? I mean, I don't know of many places (read, none) where I can find a high ceilinged tiled room devoid of furniture and and all other indications of habitation. I mean really.
