Zero off-road electric motorcycles get recalled, might crash more than usual

The Zero S our own Tim Stevens rode fearlessly through the streets of New York apparently isn't effected, but it looks like Zero's off-road electric motorcycles (the Zero X and Zero MX) have been hit with a recall after it was discovered that they might crash when it's not entirely the driver's fault. Turns out the throttle can get stuck in the open position or become disconnected, and that the "Easy" or "0-25" modes can "unexpectedly" lead to full power when the bike is turned on -- both what you might call "bad things." Of course, this is a fairly small recall (some 200 vehicles), but if that includes you, you'll want to get in touch with Zero to arrange for a free repair. Hit up the link below for all the necessary details.

Perhaps Engadget is just trying to be hip. eInk, eReader, eMail, eFax, etc. This model was simply not "e"ffected...
haha, I read the title and thought this was good news. And then I realized Zero was a company =P
lol
Ahh... Electric vehicles, the other silent killer.
Other than Bundy?
could it be a numba 3
So what's the problem ?
xD

It's missing an extra set of wheels. Solution, Add 2 more wheels.
How generous, a free repair...
And no clutch to pull. Not so good. Does it at least have a kill switch like regular bikes?
At 0-25 it has a "Jump the **** off" switch like a regular bike :)
Haha, good point.
lets take a lesson from history and put some hardware failsafes in there zero. for the price of that thing I'd expect better.
If they're having problems with them, they should recall slightly more than zero of them. Maybe all of them?
Recall zeros because of naughtiness.
(Might have to be british to get my -somewhat feeble admittedly- joke?)
Zero motorcycles were recalled?
No news is good news :P
You think Bill Dube was one of the first forthcoming case of this issue?
