ASUS Eee PC T91MT multitouch tablet listed on Amazon.de for October 22nd
Surprise! Another "new" computer coming out October 22nd alongside Windows 7, or at least rumored to be. This time it's the previously-rumored ASUS Eee PC T91MT, which has wound up as a listing on Amazon Germany. Same processor and 8.9-inch screen size as the T91, but with a 160GB HDD instead of solid-state. Since it's Windows 7, there's now multitouch support, hence the "MT." The color options are black and white and it'll set you back about 506 euros ($754). Oh, you wanted US prices and release dates? Show a little more patience, why don't ya?

wow tats kool :)
Interesting.
I wonder if multitouch = capacitive screen = no stylus...cause that would be bad. A tablet that I can't use for annotating stuff is pretty pointless imho...
Personally, I'm hoping it's using that Stantum resistive screen tech shown off at Mobile World Congress in Feb.

I was looking forward to the T91 when it was first announced, but it's kind of stale now. I've been using an Aspire One for on the go computing, and realize that the following would be the PERFECT mobile companion...
A convertible netbook with a 10.1 to 11.6" screen, touch screen (Stantum resistive please for both multitouch and almost Wacom like drawing abilities), with Pixel Qi's screen tech for legibility outdoors, Atom N280 or higher and ION or ION2 GPU.
If someone was going to do it, I'd bank on either Acer or HP (maybe Dell) doing it first. Asus just isn't as good at getting their netbooks into retail channels, I noticed, which is why Acer took the netbook lead from them.
It's hard to say, 1.3 Ghz doesnt look appealing for multitask, but meh, i'll give it a try
DONT, I HAVE A EEEPC 901 WITH 1.3GHz, 1.6GHz and 1.8GHz setting
1.3GHz, youtube can only play blocky youtube videos, HQ forget it, DVD with skipping
1.6GHz youtube can play HQ youtube videos with skipping, DVD Full frames
1.8GHz can play HQ youtube videoes with full frames, DVD Full frames, and allmost any pc game before 2006
I Personally do not recommend buying a netbook with 1.3GHz atom, its slow as hell
I only recommend 1.6GHz or higher
And multitasking is not a problem at 1.8GHz perfect with 10 applications open plus, no slow downs (photoshop, flash, dreamweaver, firefox, vls, itunes, open office etc)
1.6GHz is OK gets the job done
multitasking with 1.3GHz dose gets slow downs every now and then,
Wait. Why is it "Since it's Windows 7, there's now multitouch support"?
It says Windows 7 HP, doesn't that stand for Home Premium? If it does, than there should be multitouch support.
Stop writing stupid comments and go learn English!
@deten0: errrrr....watcha trying to say again?
late, small and weak
and $754 is also a turn-down
So the one on the right confuses me. Is it an atom Z520 at 1.33 or is there also going to be a N270 1.6 model because I don't believe the N270 comes in 1.33?
Still waiting for a Vaio L launch date.
Where's the linux version of this device? Ever since the Eee line stopped having both Linux and Windows versions, I've lost interest.
This thing, though, would be pretty nice with an Acer-like offering of dual booting Android and Ubuntu (or Android and Xandros, since Xandros is the Eee version of Linux, right?). Or maybe Android and Eeebuntu.
(and, don't say "just install it yourself" -- someone needs to add/write proper screen rotation support into Ubuntu/Eeebuntu/Xandros, in order for that to be viable ... which is why I'm waiting for the vendor to provide it)
Amazon Germany just changed their tune, now listing the Asus T91MT as not presently in stock and not offering an "available" date.
A hard-drive? Wtf, I hope the US/Canadian versions still come with a SSD. I would prefer a 32 GB one that's actually faster at reading *and* writing than a HDD. You can get like 20-30 sec boot-up times with fast SSDs.
