It would be interesting to take this up in a plane and have a laptop or equivalent display what it thinks is the motion. I wonder if there is a disclaimer saying "Not for aviation use" or something.
Motion sensors only work with respect to an inertial reference frame. If the plane isn't accelerating, then only the relative velocity of the motion sensor matters.
In any case, they got GPS trackers and pitot-static tubes "for aviation use". That's far superior to whatever this thing can do.
