GeeksPhone One now available for pre-order, launching in Spain this December
Apparently not pushed back until January, GeeksPhone's Android-imbued smartphone, the One, is launching in Spain this December, recently-added physical keyboard and all. So far, the limited edition run will not be crossing Spanish borders on its own, but we doubt that'll stop any interested parties on foreign land. Final price will be 285 euro (US $427), 22 of which is all you need to put down to reserve yours today.

cool
Really? Does someone have to put a one word response just to get the first commenting spot?
@ neo40
andrews one word comment contributed a lot more than yours did.
anyways. The blue ONE logo on the phone looks cool, like it's lit up or something. I love lights
But im already w8tin for the Htc HD2
Fuck that, I want the HD3.
Does is let you install Sense UI like the G1? That it sweet. They just got the new Sense UI running on that phone. http://www.androidspin.com/component/content/article/3-latest-news/199-review-sensehero-v10-build-26296
Does the G1 look good? This phone does.
Baxter, you know i dont speak spanish.
What? You pooped in the refrigerator? And you ate the whole wheel of cheese? How'd you do that? Heck, I'm not even mad, that's amazing.
+100 for Anchorman quotes! LOL.
WHY aren't people questioning how ridiculously priced and specced this piece of crap is.... slow processor, 256MB ROM, small resistive screen.. ARGH! Theres not one good thing about it, except it has a qwerty kb!
every smart phone I've ever seen is overpriced if you were to buy it off contract.. I'm not positive but I bet the price listed here is off contract. As far as specs, it should be tested first before anyone says it's crap
*cough* E63 for touch screen haters. Not overpriced.
I live in Australia, but try to stay cutting edge as much as I can... so I'm forced to buy all my phones 'off-contract'. This is overpriced by alot off contract. Just compare it to the acer a1 which was going to be about the $500 mark.. there's no competition at all..
Do Google still sell the ADP version of the G1? That was like ~400 and better.
Are you daft? The specs are exactly the same as every single Android phone HTC has put out. It's got more RAM than the G1 (256 vs 192), exact same size screen, physical keyboard, and cheaper than an unlocked Sapphire or Hero (which have comparable specs). I would love to see an android phone in the ~250-300 range unlocked, but I'm affraid of the compromises that would have to be made (maybe loose 3g radio).
lol, since whan is 285€ overpriced?
that's practically half the price of similar smartphones.
Spread that Android love :)
Spread the Android love* :)
*Except the Droid
wasn't this phone coming to t-mobile soon? If it has the same old craptastic 528 mhz processor then i would wait on the new htc snapdragon android phone.
so cool
Why is the spacebar so far to the left?
The price is pretty good for Europe considering it is off-contract. Blame the euro-dollar conversion rate, not geeksphone
Looks like a rebadged Verizon Glyde
Dear all,
I'm Javier Agüera form the Geeks'Phone team. There is a small mistake in the article, so I recommend the editor to correct it. The december pre-order is international, we are shipping throughout Europe and America (in Asia the phone is distributed under our partner's brand Commtiva). Our international English and French website will be up and running before this sunday.
The pricetag is obviously for Europe (with 16% tax included), which indeed is pretty reasonable. In western Europe the HTC Tattoo has a pricetag of 350€, and compared to the 285€ ONE it only has the e-compass. Considering that you don't need that, the One offers you a much better price-quality-service ratio.
Best regards!
