Forget about it. Spelling phonetically just makes sense, IMO. I believe all words should (and will, eventually) be spelled that way. And we were talking about spelling, not Metric vs. English(which you also invented, btw) systems, or the proper way to write a date (I happen to agree that the Metric System is far superior to the English System and that is doesn't make sense to write the month before the day when writing a date).
