I can't tell if the $150 being a steal is sarcasm or not.

@Cheami90: What?
@ cheami90
lol...what Mark said
SP
Actually, the usb dongle is 150...the system itself is 600 lolz. How the hell does Bose get people to buy this stuff?
Cheami90... learn English please
It doesn't get any better than Bose so the price sounds about right to me.
Well it uses patented revolutionary Bose CatchyPhrase technology, which immediately justifies a 300% premium on anything.
Why on earth would you spend so much money on that? Is it superior in sound quality or something?
This is Bose we're talking about here.....Sound quality? Pfft..... who needs it.
No. But it is made by Bose, so people will at least think it sounds good.
People buy it because it looks prettier than it sounds and are ignorant suckers who buy any thing if it's marketed properly..
Trust me, I have one and and It makes for a very loud alarm clock (that's all I use it for) but would not recommend you spend more than $100 on used one.
Any reason this wouldn't work with a PS3? Are there any other similar products out there?
Bose = Buy Other Sound Equipment. Ultra overpriced, overhyped and barely average sound quality products.
Yeah. But someone has to finance the development of their suspension system. I'd really love to see cars equipped with it... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eSi6J-QK1lw
You know with Wifi on my iPhone or iPod Touch and Wifi on these things and the sound issues with A2DP bluetooth streaming don't you start to think to yourself... hey why can't I just stream my music to my music system over Wifi? I could control the playback with the device in my hand, yet still get unassailable quality (even streaming lossless versions). Why doesn't somebody standardize a protocol for that?
Or is this going to come with the new point to point Wifi/pairing stuff?

I think it mus be superior in sound quality and picture certainly. You need to spend more money for these.
@Cheami90+masdin: I think people have been drinking this evening!
This article is completely wrong. The soundlink has been on sale for over a month and it sells for $549. The new product for $599 is the Wave Music System with soundlink connect kit for your computer.. If you already own a Wave, you can purchase the upgrade kit so you can wirelessly stream your computer music to that system. You guys are usually on top of things, but really blew it this time. If you don't like Bose that's fine, but you shouldn't let your negative opinions cause you to report completely false information.
They throw opinions/etc into lots of things. I think this one is pretty valid.
Did you guys know that the reason your Bose systems sound like crap is because...YOU DO NOT HAVE MOOOOOOOOOOOONSTERRRRRRRR CABLES? It's true! The Best Buy guy told me so! Bose sounds best with Monster Cables. It's a well kept secret to keep Bose and Monster from totally dominating the planet.
Ha! Actually, the only people more ridiculous than people who think wires "make all the difference" are people who can't hear anything good from a Bose. Sure, a Bose Wave radio is overpriced, but for $75 from a pawn shop it's a killer item.
I don't know if I'm comparing Apples to Apples, but the Sonos ZonePlayer S5 sounds like a better solution for room to room music over your computer or iphone...
No highs, no lows, must be Bose!
Totally Biased opinion
Shows some people at engadget do not like BOSE.
It is good for many people
It is good for people who like home decor, but that's about it.
VideoCWK the issue here is not of the High Quality that an Audiophile like you may demand, but the tone and mannerism of the report which reeks of negativity. The product cannot be wholly wrong !! At least there are some parts which has to be good, otherwise how will BOSE be such a big name.
The report could have been more objective, with a neutral tone, describing the pros and cons of the product. But engadget has allowed someone this reporter to take a very negative stand, which makes it look more like a personal opinion rather than a report presenting both sides of the story.
SoundBlaster Wireless for iTunes (or what ever software) at 149€ is better choice.
I prefer SoundBlaster Wireless for iTunes (or what ever software...) at 149 USD....
This review says it all. I CAN NOT BELIEVE that Bode would release a product that can not allow you use your wireless connection and the Bose Link at the same time. What a POS!

Wireless Network Complication 10/20/2009
What's great about it: Sound quality is fantastic as one expects from bose.
What's not so great: Does not work while operating in range of a wireless network.
"I was excited for this product to come out and hoped it would work with my iPhone "remote" application which it does nicely. I had the wireless key plugged into my macbook pro and everything works flawlessly as long as your wireless computer network is not on. When it is the Bose Soundlink can't cope and the music cuts in and out and is useless (the troubleshooting guide even acknowledges this!). It seems that you can either listen to your wireless music with the Soundlink OR surf the internet but not both at the same time. If you need to do both simultaneously do not get this product.
Instead get an Airport Express and the Bose Companion 3 speakers to set up a wireless music system through iTunes and AirTunes. You'll also save about $200 this way.
The Bose Soundlink is way too expensive not to have this wireless glitch resolved. Until Bose fixes this, beware of this potentially fabulous product."
You have obviously never heard a Bose Wave. Worth every penny.
