I don't see any lag, just animation effects that don't move as fast as the gestures that initiated them. They look like they're designed like that though given the fact that the animation starts as soon as the gesture completes.
Nope would have to disagree, my gf's 3GS lags more than that. and you gotta remember the iphone doesnt actually have a 'real' UI, its just buttons, nothing special about that and not much processing power to push it. That combined with apples lag technique (interchange animation), kinda hides the lag, but opening a programs with my HD and her 3GS, they open EXACTLY the same time, except the iphone has this nice animation to make it look responsive, where as mines not as nice.
Exactly...I pointed this out once. I have an iPod Touch and I would open an app and try to use it only to see that it would just zoom into an old picture of where I last left it, not a usable screen.
During his WWDC keynote, Steve Jobs touted iCloud as a service that will sync many of your Apple devices, for free. Macs, iPhones, iPads, and even Windows computers can synchronize documents, contacts, calendar appointments, and other data.

That touch flow is still laggy, even with a 1GHz CPU.

What video were you watching? There was no noticeable lag in that UI.
@FJC
God I wish ppl would notice that "lag technique" and stop telling everyone that the iphone opens INSTANTLY any app...

Considerable lag around the 2:30 mark.
Remember this is displaying full resolution photos not the gimped versions the iPhone/Touch forces you to have
