In Japan, nerds control girls with joysticks
For some of you, like this guy (look at his face!), this is a dream come true, no questions asked. The rest will be wondering what the hell is going on here. See, that bicycle helmet affixed with what looks like a robotic crab is a not so subtle, ear tugging navigational device that could ultimately benefit the sight-impaired or anyone, really -- it pulls on the left ear to direct the wearer to the left, on the right to go right. Simple. Granted, it looks ridiculous now, but imagine it miniaturized under a tin-foil helmet and communicating with a hands- and eyes-free GPS navigational system. You've just seen the future, how does it feel?

Can I set it up to tug on another part of my body?
@(Unverified) do you have no hands? or are you really that lazy lul
I like the "nerd controls girl with joystick" more xD
Shuddap and GET ME A BEER!
It's Pedobear approved!
nerds control girls with joysticks.
Don't even get me started...
My joystick is out of control
PS: I remember when I was a child, we played N64 and I would instruct someone to "use the joystick" I'd immediately get ridiculed for using such an object.
Good times, good times...
All my dreams come true
You dream of girls with joysticks?
@dark
I think you were refering to comment right below @colin
yeah my dream are either joysticks or girls, some times the i dream about girls AND joysticks, they don't call them joysticks for nothing if you know what i am saying!
i would wait for the version with the mute button.
+1 @ darkstar
Huh. Usually it's the women controlling men by their joysticks.
That came out wrong,
I think you meant, Women control men, by "men's joystick".....unless you were referring to chicks with joysticks
Ah !! Now, How do I get my GF to wear it ?
More importantly, How do I get a girl friend ?
Easy Just find a girl that has a bike and replace her helmet...i just had an idea GTA:Girl Power play by Niko(l) and her cousin Romania
man o man great comment that got me laughing hard!
LMFAO +1
Place it on while your GF asleep?
As soon as I saw this I knew I'd see this comment, Kudos. +1
Ratatouille 2: Nerd Edition, in stores now!
fail......
sudo make me a sandwich
Up-ranked just for that!
In Soviet Russia, joystick controls nerds with girls!
One desn't have to go to Soviet Russia to see "keyboard typing obsolete jokes on fanman" I guess.
yo dawg, I hear you like memes, so I put a joystick on your joychick so you can dick around while you dick around.
all your girls are belong to nerds
This topic has much potential! let it rip.
I'm all for any concept, technology that make things a little easier for sight impaired people..."eyes-free GPS navigational system" is a good concept...
I really hoped that helmet (or even a smaller one) would never be a part of the deal...
rofl darklar... rofl.
Oh for the love of gawd engadget (and the rest of AOL News network) get a new proper comment system!
i was trying for a while to come up with a clever way to present this, but it's late as fuck (pretty much morning, pulling an all-nighter) and i'm tired as hell. so here:
joystiq = penis.
but superhero don't need rest, Captain Obvious!
Chuck Norris doesn't need a joystick...
.
.
.
wait... does not need a woman either!
the source's website address: "kaji" means examine, it is a Malay word used to describe technological research. The crab shaped helmet remind me of zombies with crab head in Half Life 2 pc game.
Headcrab?

what is this bullshit. Make a app for a GPS phone . that is more decent than this crap..

First thing I thought of when I saw it.
I can't believe the public bought into "joystick" in the 1st place. Nerds need to get out more.
But are you sure that's a girl? It might be a boy who likes to wear pink.
This is kind of stupid, actually. A tug on the right ear? Why not *speak* to them?
Oh, I don't know... if they're deaf, I guess it'd be a bit difficult to get them to understand what we're saying, especially when, I guess, 5% of the world's population knows sign language?
Gee, I wonder...
Moron.
@James: This is a device for the blind. The number of people who are both blind and deaf is quite small. (Besides, if you can't communicate with them at all, how are you going to tell them where you're sending them?)
I maintain that this is a stupid idea. For a blind person with hearing, it's unnecessary; for a blind-and-deaf person, it's insufficient. And it's just not very...human. Giving somebody a joystick so they can pull on your ears? Ow.
I'm no expert, but if the helmet "speaks", then you need to provide different languages for different regions. A tug on the other hand, is universal. And I know some people who get terribly confused when you give them a quick sequence of "right, right, left, right, left, left", and they'll probably end up walking into a tree.
@aaaa: "but if the helmet "speaks", then you need to provide different languages for different regions" -- no, I mean the *person* should speak to them. You don't need a helmet.
"And I know some people who get terribly confused when you give them a quick sequence of "right, right, left, right, left, left"" -- So don't do that then. Tell them when to turn. Just like the guy with the joystick is doing, but without the earlobe.
FINALLY!!
The title should be "In Japan, this guy gets no pussy!"
In case anyone doesn't know, Its very hard for Japanese men to get any kind of action with women, And this is part of the reason why.
