Kohjinsha PA series tablet ships in November, value not guaranteed
Kohjinsha had a slew of portables on display at CEATEC earlier this month, including the classification-bending PA. Its design fits in somewhere between a MID and a tablet netbook, with its 4.8-inch, 1024 x 600 touchscreen and 1.33GHz Atom processor, but now we're learning that it's price roughly equates to a netbook and a MID. The device hits Japan early next month for ¥69,800, about $770. That's certainly not cheap, but if you need one elsewhere you're probably going to need to go through an importer, and their prices are ¥79,800 and up. That's about $870. Yikes.

uh, ill pass.
Your pass is sick?
I guess they'll make it and buy it back themselves. $870 in this kind of economy is way over my head and pocket.
Too big and too small.
Some reason the keyboard reminds me of the old HP calcs:

that bezel is still too big
Japan is increasingly behind the times technologically, due to failure to adapt quickly enough, price fixing/cartels, and unwillingness to source internationally. They are getting eaten alive by the Chinese, Taiwanese, and Koreans in a number of ways. The remaining fields where they currently enjoy dominance, such as LCD technology, will be up for grabs in not too long.
This expensive monstrosity of a brick Kohjinsha device tells the whole story
They should people $870 for using this hideous "bending PA"

Reach around included?
I'll take 2! (reach arounds that is)
XP? lolwut?
Price is ridiculous, but precedented by overpriced Fujitsu's & Sony's.
Bezel is good for taping sticky notes to, but not for viewing.
The keyboard is lame a__! Note to MID makers.... edge-to-edge keyboards & screens please!
Otherwise, I'm sad I still can't find the perfect MID.
The size of the bezel does not adversely affect the visibility of the screen.
Bought my Sony vaio P for ~ 600$ this week.
It's bigger but at least it looks good :D though I want a touchscreen on it :(
The last MID I got was the Archos 5 IT (the new one with Android) and I have to say ... resist buying this piece of bugged device ....
It's the LifeBook all over again.
But look what it does to your thumb! Damb!
Reality Check :
it's made in Korea :P
