Droid Eris turns up in Verizon training course

Again, we have no idea why Verizon is burying the launch of the HTC Droid Eris alongside the Motorola Droid tomorrow (well, apart from the slow CPU and older Android build) but if you had any doubts that Big Red was going to launch this riff on the Hero, well, these screenshots of the employee training course should put those to rest. Interestingly, the buttons and logo placement are slightly different from the pic that was leaked to gdgt, but this version certainly looks like what Eric Schmidt was holding the other day, so we're thinking this is the final iteration. We'll see what's what tomorrow, we suppose.

this is the problem i was talking about.. too many devices with android... android will be winmo in 5 years. ill make sure my android always stay up-to-date with the latest GOOGLE software. cough cough sense UI cough cough.

lowest rated FTW. but in all seriousness... verizon is just dreadful. they LOVE to hate on AT&T and iPhone, and the sad thing is. those droid commercials... my friend didnt even know it was for a phone. Not to mention: "theres a map for that". its just shady. and the modding they do to their devices is an abomination. and what genius at verizon decided to push all the android devices at once? oh and DROID is stupid. STUPID. lets just take the most unoriginal name ever. honestly, there are MANY reasons to hate verizon.

The HTC Star/Firestoneturned out to be the HTC HD2 but with a 4.3 inch screen instead of the 3.7 inch screen, is the HTC Passion/Dragon the NVIDIA powered HTC Superstar? This basically looks like verizons, version of the HTC Hero, so now he have three versions of the hero. The original gsm euro one with the chin; the sprint randition; and verizons randition. Since i am a sprint customer, i really wanted to get the sprint hero, however i think verizons hero looks ten times bettter. all nice and black(unlike the strange gray and silver tones of sprints), and has the 4 touch keys(home, menu, back, search) instead of hard buttons like euro and sprint hero. now if i can only get the verizon hero on sprint. as long as its not locked down like most verizon phones are.
