i thought the song was going to be "club foot" to fit into the theme of football, etc.

Thanks for that clarification. None of us were aware. Now, when I'm hanging out in America, and and somebody mentions football, I'll disrupt the conversation and ask if they mean that stupid American version, or the real version. Everyone will probably thank me for being so damn worldly!

Are you sure you meant baseball? Or were you referring to American Football? Because yes baseball had its fair share of steriod inducing athletes but it is in no way neanderthal. American Football is a sad excuse to run around and bumb into people while chasing a ball. Never liked it and never will. its pointless.

Frets on Fire is awesome, but it's so easily moddable - why did they use the regular old skin?
American football has the NFL (National Football League) whereas "soccer" football has FIFA (translated as Federation of International Football Associations). I know which one sounds more official and wide-reaching to me.
All you real football haters, at least we don't watch steroid abusing people you call athletes wearing tights. What? Did you think most 250+ lbs men moving around like gazelles was pure athleticism? We pity your stupidity. Look at the players from the 60's and 70's and see how much today's NFL players have bulked up and somehow magically become faster. The NFL carrying out their own doping tests is a joke...it should be done by an independent authority, period.
And FYI, the most rough sport is rugby; they wear absolutely no protection and there is very little stoppage in play unlike in throwball there are breaks and brilliant ads every freakin minute
Not everyone in America watches "American Football". I find it, basketball and baseball all ridiculously boring to watch. Hockey is about the only sport that I don't find boring and it's also the only sport to me outside of "soccer" that has true athletes. I give soccer players props simply for running up and down a field for an hour+, but it's just too wide open.
Unfortunately, I can't speak about rugby since it's not all that popular here.
Well if we're gunna get into it, they're all football. Technically what most of the world calls football is association football, while what americans call football is american football (a form of gridiron football). Of course rugby is techically rugby football (both rugby union and rugby league). Pesonally I think it'd be better if nobody called any sport football (although it makes more sence to call "soccer" football as per 10minutehobo^2s link). Maybe call american football "american rules rugby"? Of cource no one (especially americans) will adopt a new name for it all now, but still (no offence americans but if you won't even adopt the global standard that is the metric system, or proper paper sizes or whatever, then I doubt you'd change the name of your sports to be in line with the rest of the world).

Let me get on my favourite horse and say that I am amazed at the creativity and passion of these people and I am glad that the free software movement can provide them with the tools they need to be so creative.
