Korg Nanokey controller repurposed into MIDI foot pedal
Korg's Nanokey MIDI controller is pretty awesome in its own right, but using it with your feet gets a little difficult under "normal" conditions. We can't say for certain why Marc Fischer decided to convert his perfectly good control board into a MIDI foot pedal, but frankly, that's beside the point. The point is he did it, and he did it with just a bit of ingenuity, some wooden blocks for risers and a bit of Plexiglas to cover up the missing keys. Hit the read link if you're interested in doing something similar, and feel free to ask the man himself where that gorgeous shag carpet came from. Kinky!

I have done similar with my korg nanopad. it was easier to do without external modification because it was already flat.
The 70's called. They want their shag carpeting back.
Actually, that's Carrot Top's head.
can that really be called ingenuity? It's ... clever.
"just a bit of ingenuity"....not a lot of it, just a bit. I think it works.
this is awesome.
you said that you can't say why he decided to make a keyboard into a MIDI foot pedal...
it explains why right there on his site. http://unrecnow.com/dust/1827
"i’ve been wanting a compact usb midi foot pedal for using with live for a long time. off the shelf controllers are often bulky and require an external midi interface. i built one out of a usb number pad last year but it was less than ideal."
seems like a straight forward reason to me.
