Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"We need a digital camera that can be switched on and fire off that first shot fast. It's not a commonly tracked statistic on any review site, and nobody seems to have this information for every camera. We were hoping other readers could inform us as to what small digital cameras can fire off their first pics in under a second (ideally under half a second). It needs to be small, but mostly, just really quick in operation. Thanks!"
Does the Chocolate Touch require a data plan? I'm getting conflicting info. The Verizon Store has said that it requires a minimum $10 data plan that gives your 25mb of data. What the heck does that allow in layman terms?!?!
Another Verizon licensed retailer that i spoke with claims there is no data plan required, and that maybe the VZ store rep is trying to claim extra commission this way. Does anyone know the real scoop??
Thanks!

The chocolate touch DOES NOT require a data plan.
As of now, the only NON-SMARTPHONE that does require a data plan is the Samsung Rogue - it's $19.99 for 75MB or $9.99 for 25MB (minimum). To answer your question in layman - All this means is the amount of megabytes that an internet site is sending to your phone. And yes, there is no way to figure out which sites are putting out how much and to keep track of not wanting to go over your amount of megabytes monthly (unless you're very tech saavy). That's why if you have internet at home and a laptop wherever you go for wi-fi, it is unnecessary to get a smartphone or to buy a data package on a non-smartphone.
All you have to do to figure out which phone requires data packages is to go on verizon's website and pretend to purchase a phone...go through all the steps up until checkout where you enter your credit card number. While going through all the steps to fake like you're buying a phone, some boxes will be a square which are options to the buyer and some are circles where you HAVE TO BUY.
Lastly, there are rumors that there might EVENTUALLY be a data plan that HAS to be purchased on the Chocolate Touch, but as of now, you do not have to purchase one.
