Black Wii gets unboxed just in time for the darkest holiday
Those lucky enough to live in Europe will soon (as in November 6th soon) be able to purchase a special edition of that black Nintendo Wii some of us have been drooling over for the past few months. Sure, it's just a regular Wii... but it's black, which is so much cooler. Well someone's finally gotten their hands on it and done an unboxing, and we have to say that it looks even better than it did in the press shots. The limited edition Black Wii bundle with Wii Sports Resort and a Motion Plus controller will run you around £164.99 in the UK, and those of us in the US? Well, we'll just have to make due with the black controller and nunchuk. There are a few more shots after the break. Hit the read link for the full unboxing and video.

Whatever you try to do, sadly, your glory days are over Wii.
Meh, it looked better in the promo shots. Just seems tackier in black. I'll stick with none for now. I'll wait till Lime Green or Blood Red comes out.
Waiting for the Wii LX to come out. 20% larger console and Wiimotes with no additional features whatsoever.
Even if it just played CD's (does anyone know what that is anymore?), I'd buy it. It's black.
You mean the format far superior to lossy mp3's? Yeah, I think people still get it.
I thought the darkest holiday was Black Friday
Black Friday is a day after a holiday. But not a holiday itself.
'Twas a joke. Still, I think people get more excited about Black Friday than they do about Thanksgiving.
It's cool looking, I wish this was how it always looked. Probably won't ever buy another system again. Not because Nintendo or its competitors don't make good stuff, but because I don't really play video games anymore.
It looks like an oreo...
I'll stick with the white one. I'm afraid if it were black it'd show all the dust that it's been collecting for the past 2 years while I was busy playing my 360 and PS3.
Yeah, don't let the U.S. in on this, even though they bought more Wiis than all other countries combined...
highly doubtful this isn't coming to the U.S. shortly. they are just building them like crazy and stock piling them so they can fill the demand.
At the heart of every neighborhood in the United States lies a brilliant thought. http://bit.ly/3OS4zw
Black is the new underpowered
since when is living in Europe lucky?
Can it play DVDs?
Would anyone care if it did? Most people (gamers) have plenty of DVD players already.
Matches my stereo equipment above my TV much nicer...

Might I remind everyone... black isn't the only option.

I want one!
Now i won't have to clean it so often >.
$125 from ColorWare is what it costs the US customers
Black Friday is the most overhyped day of the year. Granted, I know it is very important for retailers, so I'm not arguing for all of those shoppers to stop going nuts over it, but really... I find equally good deals on better quality products all year long. But who am I to tell someone they can't wake up a 4am after thanksgiving to get their Sansui flat-screen TV from Wal-mart. ;-)
...this is what my grandpa used to call "setting fire to sinking ships."
...so you know that now...and you've got that goin' for ya.
I'm in Japan - my Wii is black :)
There's no white bezel, it's clear and blue when the box is doing something.
480p looks better coming from a black wii
