Brinell Purestorage external hard drives are all kinds of classy
Much like the great city of San Diego, Brinell's Purestorage line of external HDDs is amongst the classiest that we've ever seen. So classy in fact, that we'd probably be frightened to ever lug one around and risk marring the otherwise gorgeous leather, carbon, wood or stainless steel enclosure. That said, there's hardly a sexier way to carry around 160GB to 500GB in your pocket, and the USB-powered design enables you to leave the AC adapter in the very rear of your memory. Eager to caress one? These are available now across the pond in a variety of flavors starting at €189 ($280), so yeah, pony up.

How do they pull enough juice through USB for the 3.5" Drives?
This will be nice for laptop users (especially macbook users...)
Great example of a poster not reading the link! Kudos, Oli.
They didn't make it obvious.
I don't think that I would want a 1.8" Drive, the ones I have dealt with in the past have been so fragile.
http://twitpic.com/2f1ki A similar thing from the distant past
3.5? looks like a 1.8 and 2.5 to me.
I can move any file I want, because I, look good in leather.
All they need is a screw cap and a reservoir for liquor.
Maybe then the alcohol could be also used to power the harddrive via a fuel cell.
They are kinda cute but for that price I want one wrapped in Gucci or Loui Vitton
I'd want to find the shell on Ebay and place my own HD.
Looks 007 to me.
Pass. WD Passports are 1/3 of that price. While they may not look as fancy schmancy, they are plenty reliable, which is all you should really give a damn about.
if you really want leather, a nice enclosure can be had for cheap. Just picked me up one of these a few weeks ago, stays surprisingly cool despite the leather:

Classy in a 70's sense I guess darren meant, because they look a bit dated to me, but tastes differ, they aren't for me though.
San Diego classy? You must be thinking of all those bleach-blondes with their silicone enhancement.
I like SD, but there's no way I'd call it "classy".
Were you being ironic?
he was referring to a quite famous movie Jon...
@ slamEVIL: Nope! Still not getting it.
Which movie's that? Er, what's a movie? ;)
Must be some porn flick I guess huh, it's not in my knowledge base either.
man these things are all kinds of nice!
Great! That's all I need my hard drive being a bigger target for thieves. Too fancy and expensive. It's a portable hard drive. What I want is indestructable and secure.
$280 for 160gb? What is this, 2006? Aside gorgeous looks..... Guess it really does pay to be like Bond
