Say what you will, but
Canon's customer service / engineering department definitely looks out for consumers willing to spend just under two large on a new body. Merely days after the outfit made public that a "
residual image phenomenon" was negatively impacting
EOS 7D images under certain conditions, it has now published a firmware update to wipe all of those woes away. Firmware v1.1.0 specifically "corrects a phenomenon that in images captured by continuous shooting, and under certain conditions, barely noticeable traces of the immediately preceding frame may be visible." Hit the read link if you're looking to put said phenomenon to bed. Or don't.
We don't care.
Too bad Engadget hasn't released firmware to fix my residual comments.

My original account has been unused for months because all it does is show me a thank you whenever I comment ;_;
At least it's polite to you.

Oh great, NOW IT WORKS!
*tears of joy*
I'm sure the public at large rather keeps the issue and believe they can see photograph/ghosts
Should be 'photographs-of/ghosts'
Not that that is pretty, but it would have made more sense.
'I'm sure the public at large rather keeps the issue and believe they can see ghosts or are seeing photographs of ghosts' would have been more clear.
20 years from now, an upgraded Canon 7d will be a "must have" item amongst paranormal investigators and "Ghost-hunters"
un-upgraded
meh, the camera on the iphone 3gs still pwns this it has a fast "s" (speed) class processor so it doesn't ghost or shudder and can support auto focusing
What does the scouter say about his stupidity level?
It's...OVER NINE THOUSAAAAAAAND
That much be the most stupid comment ever posted on engadget
since when is a iphone capable of shooting 8 photos per second in a 18 megapixel resolution?
Its good to see they are being more proactive to help their customers and acknowledge their problesm… they haven't always been that way… When the 1d Mkiii came out with autofocus issues they denied it for the longest time… Good to see they are making more steps to show their customers that they care about the experience of their cameras. Makes me more confident about my upcoming 5d mk ii purchase
