Make your own Bluetooth Star Trek Communicator (video)
If you're looking for a project for the weekend and the Knock Lock seems a little naff, why not try building your own Bluetooth Star Trek communicator? This is definitely not a project for the faint of heart -- expect to custom cut a circuit-board, drill some holes, add a serial port, a Bluetooth module, and a microcontroller. That said, when it's all said and done you'll be placing (and answering) calls the same way they do in the 23rd century: by speaking through a small, distorted speaker. If this is your thing, hit up that read link to get the full step-by-step. But before you go that route, be sure to peep the video demo after the break.

is she wearing snuggies cuz both her hands are coming out of one side unless she has four arms like goro. four hands four times the pleasure.
FYI, this is the same girl from Project Runway. I went to highschool with her
I'd totally go sit in a cave and scream KKKKHHHHAAAAAAAANNNNNNN!!!!!!! into it.
Except AT&T's shitty network wouldn't work in a cave. ah fuck.
does anyone know what the website is that has the instructions on making this, as its difficult to hear where it is at. I think she said maxines.com, is this right. Let me know, thanks

am i the only one turned on by seeing a woman near soldering equipment and multimeters?
Wow! It is a nice news for my own site! www.gadgetel.ru. It will be translated in a few minutes!
I have never been so inspired to make something I have seen on the 'Net; just ordered all parts and also await the updated audio amp she mentioned.
...also AT&T work fine in a cave (I've been in a storage facility near Lenexa KS) - someone just needed to install a REPEATER!
I'm still waiting for my Star Wars Imperial Stormtrooper Bluetooth, handheld, speakerphone Commlink....
Wasn't that chick on Project Runway with her "geek chic" fashion?
reminds me of when i tried to fit my cell phone components in a TMNT communicator. didnt work maybe ill try this method!
