Easy Piano bringing keys to the DS Lite in 'early 2010'

Now that we've thrown 'em off the trail, use the form below to get in touch with the people at Engadget. Please fill in all of the required fields because they're required.
What the hell are you supposed to play on that? Marry Had a Little Lamb? Any song more than an octave is out of the question with this...
Another reason why the DSi will always suck.
If it was a truly usable game/tool, there would be an option to shift octaves manually. I've tried using electronic keyboards through programs like Garageband, and that's one way to go if you don't have a full keyboard hooked up or if you use one of those mini-laptop ones. Quite useful for those who aren't too ambidextrous. That said, I have no idea if they'll be incorporating such a trivial feature. If they did, I might just buy it when I get a new DS only so I can write out music when one of my guitars isn't handy. Let's not count the DSi out quite yet.
Jason:
This wouldnt work on a DSi. GBA slot required.
I hope they aren't expecting you to buy multiple DS Lites and put them all in a row.
But you can't deny the sheer awesomeness of the idea.
That would actually be very interesting, at least to me, playing on multiple DS's.
Like this iPhone game?

thats cool, what next a string instrument plug in?
I'm personally hoping for Harpsichord Hero for the DS Lite...lol
Absolutely positively no one cares.
post the podcast.
What are the chances that piano hero will pop up in the future...
no chance.
and those were my famous last words..
health care bill passes the house, officially marking the beginning of the end! no one needs piano keys for their ds lite.. run for cover.. save your money to buy guns and canned food.. buy gas masks and biohazard suits for your family while you still can. We all have to stop fighting on engadget because we will all need each other to survive in the end that is near.. Good luck to you all and god bless
And it'll probably be what, 49.99? Better to buy an actual keyboard I think ...
It good since there are people that are trying create or learn the piano on the go and test a song that is 1 to be require as 3 and I won't state the name of the song it only use guitar piano, and drums that's the only thing that i will say find it out yourself is the key
I have an excuse to use the GBA slot now!
Well, I mean other than for all my GBA games. But then that's only the *main* reason I'm sticking with my DS Lite.
Connected to the DS and used for it's intended purpose this looks pretty dumb, but if you were to connect something like this to the original Gameboy with nanoloop or LSDJ running you'd be pretty hard pressed to find anything cooler.
Just what we needed, more useless extensions for the DS and Wii!
the apple store is down, and no post yet
1. It's just a fun game tool for kiddies. As far as that goes what are you all complaining about? It's more complex that frikkin guitar hero. With a manual or even auto octave shifter it could be fun for some people (although i hate the ds so i won't be playing it)
2. Why does it take so long to post the podcast? How long does it toake to snip it together and stick the file up on the site?
3. Don't auto tick the 'email me when somone replies' box. The default reaction of most would be 'urgh no thank' so that should be the default tick.
2. Longer than it has so far. Learn some patience.
3. Tab tab space tab space. We'll call it "Untick the box yourself Hero". You'll love it.
so, for the DS you need this clunky hardware, but on the iPod touch, you can do this easily.... so weak...
KORG DS-10 Synthesizer:

So, no you dont.
The DS already has a touch screen, for fucks sake!!
It's not multi-touch, fool. How would you play chords? Never mind that the screen would also be too cramped for adult hands, or that you can't feel virtual keys.
Keyboardmania, people.

too many keys for Keyboard Hero :(
Looks cool, but how can one learn to play with only 10 keys??
Does it also have a piano chords section in it?
