Neo Slim 3000 handheld promises game emulation and more
It's not quite as sleek as some homebrew-minded handhelds, or as full-featured as some others, but anything that hearkens back to the days when videos games were measured in bits gets a few points in our book, and this new Neo Slim 3000 looks to have things well covered on that front. While complete details are still a bit light, this one is said to pack a 3.5-inch 320 x 240 display, 2GB of built-in memory, an SD card slot for expansion, a full range of PMP features and, most importantly, support for NES, SNES, Genesis, and Game Boy Advance emulation right out of the box -- with other options presumably also available depending on the device's capabilities. Still no word on a price just yet, but the folks at Neoflash say this one is "coming soon."

This will rock the gaming industry to its core, a real game changer (no pun intended)!
moar pandoraness required.
I like the reflective writing at the bottom of the screen. Reminds me of a Z-Cavaricci sweater I had back in the early 90's.
I don't care if they won't both be used! GIVE ME DUAL ANALOG!
Only one joystick...
You expect it to do more when it's a clone of the PSP in form?
It's not even on the right side.
umm that d-pad looks awful
Hey its a PS-WHATHEFUCKISTHISSHIT.

'nuff said.
That's just a Dingoo A320. A nice little toy, but the Wiz has more power under the hood.
Thinkgeek sells the Wiz, too.
how the hell is that a Dingoo A320?
btw: i´m deeply disappointed by engadget´s lack of Dingoo news. :(
PSX on Dingoo is not newsworthy?
omg, i overread the link, sorry.
I´d always get a Dingoo over a Wiz. :P
I just LOVE the shoulder buttons...OK and POWER! ALL HANDHELDS SHOULD FEATURE THIS!
those things look like they came out of a ¢25 machine.
It's like the original GBA and PSP had a child during a nuclear explosion.
Your picture makes me want to throw up (just breaking the trend here).
man i want to meet whoever is in that picture just to sit and look at those eyes

While I like the overall idea and all, why choose this device over simply getting a PSP??
Unless it is vastly cheaper than a used PSP, I just don't see the point since the PSP can be hacked to emulate almost any old console system.
OH please. This is way better.

Someone hack linux onto it so you can pretty much play almost anything.

Come on! Slim? 3000? Triangle square circle cross? D-pad and single joystick? The entire blanking design? Who are they kidding?
It's the PSP2!!!! (just fun'in...)
brother?
uhhh..... no?
I always wondered what bastard child would spawn from a PSP & GBA union.
Until they bring hardware that can emulate N64, Dreamcast, PSX. Keep it for yourselves.
The OpenPandora has been demoed with near fullspeed n64 ..... ps1 has had good emulation on the hardware for a long time and there is a dreamcast emulator being worked on that may be playable for some games
While emulation can be done & the emulators themselves are legal .
unless you the Pandora can read Playstation CD'S or N64 cartrides directly it means you are running pirated software .
Many countrys it is illegal to make copy's of software without permission .
While many of you may say you can legally make backups but those law are ancient history & in many countrys haved been changed & the only sofware where you can make backups are PC software as part of the EULA attached to it & it usally applys to backups to files installed to the harddrive .
So in the long run emulation of these software tend to be illegal wether its on a PC this PSP KIRF the Pandoria the Dingoo A380 or any other means is basically illegal .
The only real legal emulation is the Wii's Virtual Console service .
I'm still waiting on the OpenPandora.
+1
...and waiting...and waiting...and waiting...and waiting...
Shouldn't this be a Kirf?
:I
How is this any different than any other chintzy-looking PMP that plays emulators out of the box? This does nothing new.
They should have:
Modeled it after the PSP Go
Dual analog
TV out
Support USB HID controllers
Like two analog sticks? I didn't think so. Good day sir, I said Good Day!
droid does that. even my lowly sprint android phone does that. i'm running nesoid and rocking the touch screen d-pad.
From the specs, it looks like it's a Dingoo A320 in a different casing.
It sure ain't no GP2X Wiz or Pandora.
Then again, this thing is apparently available, while the Pandora is still technically vapor.
damn, can't the iPhone copycats get a rest.
If it does SNES with zero issues and is cheap i would buy one.
