Ballmer may have wanted it to be out
yesterday, but it looks like the initial release of
Windows Mobile 7 may now finally, actually be in sight. According to
ZDNet Taiwan, the mobile OS is now on track for a release to OEMs for testing (the so-called "Maldives" program) sometime in the first quarter of 2010, and will be launched publicly sometime in the third quarter of the year (or about a year after the release of
Windows Mobile 6.5) -- all of which more or less lines up with earlier rumors of a release to manufacturing in
Spring 2010. If past history is any indication, however, it seems likely that the earliest builds of the OS could be circulating around the usual channels well before that -- probably right on the heels of the release to OEMs.
does anyone knw wat maldives means??
Why I always get the impression that iphone ppl are on the defence?..... If I read an article about a mac product, I barely read any negative comments from microsoft fans. but when it's the other way around it takes one person to say some thing like WinMo suck or is backward and never provide a justifiable argument. Its obvious that most iphone users haven't used any other smart phone to realize that the iphone tho stable and elegant has less functionality.
The most powerfull thing is that the iphone is trendy, thats all ppl. so lets all be cool and say hey, i bought it because 'common it the iphone!' and all other ppl say hey i want more functionality from my phone so i went with WinMo or android or something.
maybe its nothing or maybe its everything?.... stop being so insecure..... its ok you have an Iphone....now you're cool.
For the rest of ppl ignore them and have some positive comments.
