Appstand frame has a pocket for your iPhone, little else (video)
Sure, we've all been in this situation: you have an iPhone, and you'd like to dock it, but without the actual audio / video functionality of, say, an iPhone dock -- that's where Appstand comes in. Billed as "the first ever accessory built to enhance the apps you love," this guy will hold your phone at a comfortable viewing angle without obscuring its speaker or microphone. And that's all it does. Dare we say that at least this bad boy is a sight more attractive than some of the digiframes we've seen over the years? Available December 1 for the quite reasonable price of $20. For a closer look, peep the video after the break.

First!!!
The engadget comment system is complete garbage.
And the irony of this place being a gadget web site.
Engadget comment system = CRAPGADGET
You can't win legions of down-tankers.
If you strike me down, I shall become more powerful than you could possibly imagine.
Shut the hell up and stop spamming you fat nerd.
Having said that, I must say this picture frame qualifies as Crapgadget.
My two cents.
spammer.
Jeez, just cut a hole in a cardboard box and stick your iPhone inside.
1: Cut a hole in a box
2: Put your iPhone in that box
3: Make her open the box
And that's the way you do it
It's my iPhone in a box...my iPone in a box babe
It's my iPhone in a box...my iPone in a box girl
christmas?
iphone in a box
Kwanzaa?
iphone in a box
Downrank Battalion target aquired. GO GO GO!!
Might sell if placed correctly this christmas - problem is it looks a bit silly without the iPhone in.
It would be cool, if it wasn't crap
Initially I thought it was a separate and larger display, whereby the iPhone transfers your photos/Apps to the main display. As it is, I’m not impressed.

OMG the music is so shit.
In that case, I suppose you could fall back with a hard copy photo of your favorite tart.

What a waste of a phone. Hold on, I gotta take my iphone outta this picture frame.
I don't understand why I would even want to put my iPhone into a frame...
What if someone calls? Would that not be a PITA to have to take my phone out of the frame and answer it? Even as an alarm clock... fold some cardboard up or something if you want a stand. This just seems cumbersome and useless. I don't care if it is a reasonable $20.
Or just pick up the entire frame, hold it to your ear, and look like a dork. =)
No, no, no...they've gone about this all wrong. Call it the iStand, sell it directly through Apple and double the price.
Finally, a use for my iphone once I switch to an Android device.
I just want to see the demo of the guy answering his phone when it rings. It may look cool in a picture frame, but it will look absolutely stupid when you need to put that picture frame up to your head to avoid missing a call. Maybe this is only intended for the douches that never remove their bluetooth headset.
Even then, I don't see this frame powering the phone? Wouldn't you want it to charge your phone and keep the screen on? Why no dock connector?
Apparently, ask and ye shall receive: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ayrsmsu9F6w
BTW, let's be real. Sure, you could cut a hole in a piece of cardboard and stick it in it. But, then again, you don't carry your phone around in a kleenex box, do you? No. You bought a case. I actually think this idea is so stupid simple that it just might do well.
It really is funny to see these companies making all of these silly pointless accessories, hoping to get rich off of consumer stupidity.
