The i7 UM series have 2 cores, not 4. They're designed to run with extremely low power consumption, but have terrible speed compared to the contemporary i7 CPUs, they're about the same as the lower-end Core 2 Duo CPUs (1.6~2.0 GHz) But the good thing is that they can be overclocked to about 2.26GHz, which gives okay processing speed and awesome battery life. Good for the ultrathin laptops, I guess.
Sony's just released a 15.5-inch addition to its VAIO S Series that not only adds a crucial bit of extra display acreage, but also bumps things up to a full 1080p.
