Why those designers always think that something needs to resemble a purse, a shoe or jewelry to appeal to women? Fail.
It's because, generally speaking, purses, shoes and jewelry appeal to women.
this sound plausible with the exception that i don't find a camcorder for men with images of beer, women and football.
Magallanes: That's more likely what you'd find recorded on it.
eck I know. Though more color options would be nice (I'm a fan of aesthetics, so sue me... not all women are though), I'm sick of all this "appealing to women by making it look special and girly" crap. It's incredibly condescending, and I tend not to buy from companies that do that.
For the record, shoes and purses are excellent as functional items.

"Japan-based electronics maker Greenhouse has announced the GHV-DV30HDLXW/P [JP] today, a video camera specifically designed for women. The device is available in two colors, white and (the inevitable) pink. Buyers will also get a cute pouch that fits the color of the camera.
Greenhouse has partnered up with fashion brand GAUDI (who I never heard of before) to design the camera. It features a 3-inch TFT LCD screen, 128MB of internal memory, SD/SDHC memory card support (up to 32MB), a miniHDMI port and a USB interface. The device can record video in 1,280×720/720p resolution and at 30fps in (MPEG-4 AVC/H.264(MOV)).
The video camera will go on sale in Japan only for $190 (including the pouch) from the end of this month. If you live outside Japan and want to look cute while shooting video, contact import specialists Japan Trend Shop or Geek Stuff 4 U."
It's a pink (or white) and gold camcorder. Do you really care about the technical specs?

Gaudi is some ultra-cheapo brand of electronics not a fashion brand. I don't think they make much more than these "cell phone quality" video cams, so far I've only run into the normal looking ones thank God. The sell for about $100 or so and are are next to useless.

Believe it or not, I have used one of these (I actually have it in my closet). The person I work for got it in a swag bag. I am a dude. I had to walk around with this thing.
-regardless of how it looks, let me just say this: the video quality is horrendous. A Flip Mino HD is about 5X better than this thing.
We sell these at OfficeMax...well actually we haven't sold a single one of these but who knows?
