Panasonic debuts MW-10 photo frame / iPod dock / sound system
Can something manage to be both an iPod dock and a photo frame yet still manage to look like neither? It can if it's Panasonic's new MW-10 "multimedia audio system photo frame," which looks more like a shrunken down LCD TV than anything else. If that suits your decor, however, it looks like you'll get quite a bit from this little package, including a 9-inch WVGA display, 4GB of internal memory, an SD card slot, an FM tuner, some puported "audiophile-quality sound," and even a built-in CD player to complement the iPod dock 'round back. Look or this one to hit US retailers sometime in December for $299.95 -- or if that's too long to wait, you can pick one up in Japan right now, where it launched last month.

$299?????
That must be a typo cause I could get a 27 inch LCD TV for that much.
@ Whitecollarcriminal, True but it wouldn't have all the built in features.
...on the other hand I don't like that it includes a CD player, if they got rid of that and dropped the price accordingly then I would find it more appealing.
This looks nice, but I want my next photo frame to have an Android Operating System, Google Apps, a 27" touchscreen, 5.1 surround, WiFi, a Webcam, Blue Ray, PhotoShop, Bluetooth, Pandora, 1TB of storage, and an optional espresso machine peripheral.
Modern Warfare 10: Photo frame?
Pretty expensive considering Sony sells a similar unit for $150; street price is more like $140 or less.
Of course the Sony is a bit strange...you can't delete the demo photos; so every so often you have to look a picture of somebody else's kid!! Oh yeah, the Sony is not particularly compatible with hard drive based ipods. But hey; its a lot cheaper and works with flash based phones and pods.
looks like their old 32inch CRT widescreen tv's! Very dull and boring design.
I think this would be cool for a kitchen or casual dining room.
