Sony surveying PSP Go audience, wants color suggestions
Hey, remember when Nintendo was dissing the PSP Go for having a "concept problem" last month? We doubt Sony cared too much, but the concept is going to get a gentle massaging, judging by this here survey. An otherwise insipid market research form has revealed an eye-catching selection of PSP Go paintjobs, replete with tick-boxes for the discerning customer to make his opinion known. The presently available Piano Black and Pearl White are in amongst them, so perhaps what Sony's looking for is a color that scores as well or higher than the current offerings, which might incite the company to make like Nintendo and bring a little more rainbow to its portable hardware. We've got our money on that sexy red number, and suspect / hope the turquoise will never make it off the drawing board.

I would like one in 6.10 M33 black please.
These can't even be flashed yet. And their just too expensive as well.
I'll bite when it's $149. Till then, my PSP-2000 is fine and dandy.

HURR DURR
Still have my darth vader psp-2000!
So I guess this is how it went down at sony:
"how many PSP-Go's have we sold?"
"*cricket*"
"Ok, add new colors!"
"Brilliant!"
So instead of being in touch with their customers and being able to know what they would like, Sony has to ask you what color it needs to be for you to buy this piece of crap.
I don't care what color it is. I want 2 analog sticks.
The bright red and blue look pretty nice.
I'll take Bright Red, Navy Grey and Bright Yellow please!
@ xcrunk
Three colour stains you don't want to find in your underwear.
Mustn't be doing too well if they have to bring out the new colours already. Usually only happens after sales start to sag...
It's just a survey right now... there is no guarantee will be seeing these anytime soon.
Us: Ok we pick pink, red, black, blue etc....
Sony: Ok, you want pus green, vomit yellow, and shit brown.
Can't sell me colors. Like someone here said before me. WE WANT 2 ANALOG STICKS!!!!! Not colors. Sony your are so clueless. Your on a down hill battle now. Have fun.
I'd prefer gunmetal grey like the mgs4 ps3 console.
Actually Turquoise is one of the hottest colors there. I'd rock that
I wouldn't mind having it in Diarrhea Brown
That would definitely match my Green Apple Splatters edition.
Never understood the fascination with non-black devices, but that one would certainly be fitting for the design and hardware.
Lemon would be...appropriate.
I'll take one in Jay-Z Blue with a 32GB HDD for $199 please.....thanks
HDD would be too bulky and battery consuming. It uses flash memory.
bah....you know what I meant....the flash memory IS the internal storage or HARD DRIVE.....
A hard disk drive[2] (often shortened as hard disk[3], hard drive[4], or HDD) is a non-volatile storage device that stores digitally encoded data on rapidly rotating platters with magnetic surfaces. Strictly speaking, "drive" refers to the motorized mechanical aspect that is distinct from its medium, such as a tape drive and its tape, or a floppy disk drive and its floppy disk.
A solid-state drive (SSD) is a data storage device that uses solid-state memory to store persistent data. An SSD emulates a hard disk drive interface, thus easily replacing it in most applications. The original usage of the term solid-state (from solid-state physics) refers to the use of semiconductor devices rather than electron tubes, but in this context, has been adopted to distinguish solid-state electronics from electromechanical devices as well. With no moving parts, solid-state drives are less fragile than hard disks and are also silent
Chris like a lot of people including myself is just genericizing the term Hard Drive. It's a catch all name for internal storage that easily recognizable to most people.
i will gladly sell my white for a blue. my whole body rocks blue.
This is an epic fail by Sony. Bring out the psp 2 already. They can pimp out the go all they want and it's still not going to sell.
The 'burgandy' is hot pink and the 'lemon' is bile flavoured.
Coral just made me puke in my mouth.
is any psp worth it? that isnt an insult i kinda want a go in blue...
Just give me a transparent one
ditto. i'd like to see the hardware inside.
They will listen on what color you want a failed piece of hardware to be...
...but they won't listen on how to keep a piece of hardware from being a failure.
If this had Dual analog sticks, then the Price would be somewhat justified.
Remember the last time Sony asked the community for suggestions?
The masses cried "DUAL ANALOG STICKS!!" and look what Sony gave us...
So, if you're wanting a Bright Red PSP, DON'T vote for it!
No color can make that ugly design appealing.
I still so no reason to purchase one.
burgundy all the way
no purple no sale
more color for something that doesnt sell. I always wanted a ceramic white psp when there was only psp1k
You've got to wonder about the meeting where they decided this.
BOSS: The PSP Go isn't selling well. Who can tell me why?
LACKEY #1: Well, it's more expensive than the PSP.
LACKEY #2: And they can't play the games they have.
LACKEY #3: And they won't be able to sell games once they're done with them.
LACKEY #4: And that means they won't be able to buy used games.
LACKEY #2: Right, so both of those mean the games will cost more.
LACKEY #4: And they won't be able to try out a game, decide it's lousy, and cut their losses by selling it.
LACKEY #1: And lots of reviewers have pointed all this out and called it an anticonsumer ripoff.
BOSS: Well, what are we going to do about it?
LACKEY #1: Pull it from the market?
LACKEY #2: Make the ISVs charge less for games?
LACKEY #4: Offer a refund if you return it after playing less than an hour?
(BOSS is looking angry.)
LACKEY #5: ...offer it in red?
BOSS: YES! Colors! Color sells! OK, so what colors?
LACKEY #1: Red is good.
LACKEY #2: And blue.
LACKEY #3: And pink, for the chicks.
LACKEY #4: And green.
LACKEY #5: Red! But what *kind* of red? Candy apple? Coral? Burgundy? Scarlet? Alizarin?
LACKEY #3: Alizarin? What's that?
LACKEY #5: It's sort of like cerise, but a little darker.
LACKEY #1 (scenting blood): Cerise? Come on, that's not even a word!
LACKEY #2: I think we should sell it in a whole range of blues. Sky blue, denim blue, navy blue, International Klein Blue. "PSP Go: For Your Blue Planet."
LACKEY #4: If we want the planet motif, it should be green. Kelly green, sea green, forest green, hunter green.
LACKEY #5: *Hunter* green? That's not very green at all!
BOSS: OK, so what I'm hearing is that there are a lot of colors out there.
LACKEY #3: ...you're right, sir, there are!
BOSS: Maybe we should let the *customers* choose! We'll have a survey! Get them involved! Get them *excited* about the Go!
LACKEY #4: Great idea, sir!
BOSS: You guys work out the details. I'm going back to the bar.
It's just like being there. Bravo!
Somebody needs to tell the decision makers at Sony that a lack of color choices is NOT what's causing the lack-luster sales of the PSP Go.
I would glady get one if sony make a clear plastic see thru PSP GO. Where you can see all the components inside. That would be cool
How ab out ANY color that cost around US 150.00?
Old people just don't get it.
How bout give me an invisible PSP GO until SONY gets everything esle right?
Sony makes colors a big deal here in the US.....
Over in Japan Sony releases all of these colors regularly! take ceramic white
but over here pearl white? they've never released a pure white device here it
always has to be off color or mixed with another/Darth Vader 2000 series
i just don't like they're way of thinking.......
Oh, that's nice of them. They came up with one color for each person that bought a PSP Go.
dibs on the turquoise.
if only it were much more cheaper. then I would be able to cope with the piano black or white colours.
I still like the black and white the most, but the camo green and blue are nice as well.
Gold.
