Trust in Casio's Japanese Exilim EX-FS10S, it'll turn your bogeys into birdies
Sure, we could rattle off a list of specs -- and if you're curiuos, it's a 9.1 megapixel sensor with 3x optical zoom and 720p video -- but you know what's really gonna have Casio's Exilim EX-FS10S flying off shelves? The ability to stand it behind your tee and show you exactly how you screw up your swing, with special help of the company's trademark 1000 frames per second burst mode. The catch is, while the EX-FS10 is already available in US, only the Japanese model seems to have your golf buddy. Bummer.

just wondering.....how come this stuff doesn't come to the us?
The same reason why Nokia or DoCoMo only release certain phones in the American market.
Because the American market only wants shinies and iPhones.
This is, in fact, a phone...nay, the king of phones!
@CJ
Wait... but you could theoretically do some R&D and make an app that does that on shiny iphones or android OS phones in the US and non-US!
I mean, if you love golf that much :D
Jason must be an idiot to stand there when that guy's teeing off. Hockey mask or not, that would hurt.
@badison Actually no app on any phone made is going to do what this can do. This camera is able to record video that can be played back in extreme slow motion smoothly at that. It does it by capturing 1000 frames per second, no phone made can go beyond 60 fps that I know of. So even though the picture shows some sort of golf improvement images, that isn't truly what makes it special.
@RandomGuy: There was this actually, did 120fps video: http://www.lge.com/products/model/detail/ku990.jhtml
I sorta doubt this uses the 1000fps mode, seems horribly excessive unless you need to watch the golfball deform (at an extremely compressed 224*56 resolution too).
DO. WANT.!!!
Hmm...not sure how much it'll help though...
Is there a way to get advice without turning on the "BS" setting?
JASON!!!!!! (This is surely the only place I can legitimately and unashamedly call 'FIRST!!!')
lol wut?
I was wondering on that too- its past Halloween. A little late now.
read the date next to your name and ponder it for a bit.
hint: when does jason come out to kill innocent golfers?
It's all part of their plan to win Gold in the 2016 Olympics... bastards.
FORE!
Jason will catch it!
What's that guy on the right doing in the camera shot?????
Wondered the same thing.
it looks as though he plans on catching the golf ball...
HINT: Today is Friday the 13th...
Ahhh...that's why Acapuntas is saying Jason....
He's the tourist guy.
I've wondered this for a while...is there a camera that has the body of a exilim but the picture quality of a canon or at least better than casio?
Dear Santa,
I have been a good boy all year (if you don't count the whole drunk driving incident), and Lord knows I could use this.
Love,
Charles Barkley
I'm waiting for a bedroom version.
Don't get me wrong, my technique is flawless, for sure, but perhaps there are some other angles I could try.
Best Shot gets a whole new meaning!
that little guy in the brown jacket in the background. what is he doing there.. strange thing is, if u click on the image & go to the link his not on that page.. only engadgets.. hmmm. the mystery deepens..
I'm no iSheep, but I can't help but think that there must be an iPod app for this.
It is more than just the app, the hardware of the camera allows for impressive slow-motion playback, you know so you can actually see what you are doing wrong in slow motion..
Why is that golfer standing in the middle of the horror flick?
That is the coolest use of camera tech I've seen in a long time. I must get one.
Too bad it doesn't come with spellcheck, Mr. Miller. ("curious")
