Thanksgiving is moving ever closer -- and we all know what that means: the day that comes after. That's right, there's nothing more American than following up a day of thanks with a day of hitting the malls, strip malls, big boxes, and virtual shops up for the hottest deals to be found this side of the Atlantic. We've rounded up a few of the more choice deals we've found on the 'net for you so you don't have to search all alone... and first up, Office Depot's got a 17.3-inch,Windows 7-boasting Toshiba Satellite L555D-S7930 for $649 and a 12 megapixel Nikon Coolipix S570 for $200, while over at Best Buy you can grab up a 120GB PS3 with three games for $300, with a host of cheap video games for Xbox 360 and PS3. Finally mammoth of the retail world Sears has a Canon EOS Rebel XS for $570, plus some of the cheapest digital photo frames around and a DVD player for $18. You're getting excited, aren't you?

I think its funny how they mentioned that Office Depot was selling the Nikon S570 for $200, when a flier on the same site lists it for $150 at Sears.
The best deal on a TV is at Target : $245ish for a 32inch Westinghouse.

yep...if i didn't already have one i'd be all over that deal. the slimmer ps3 is awesome and those 2 games are sick, plus you could add on a few other new games for 35 bucks. not a bad deal at all imho.
This Black Friday is just like last year. These retailers are not getting people out the bed at these prices. These deals suck seriously! I could see if they had a Windows 7, 15"+, w/Bluray laptop for $399 or something like that, that might get people excited. But all I see is stuff at prices that it should be sold around. The only deals are on Kitchen appliances, wish I could close on my home sooner, but oh well. That Best Buy Rewards Zone 7:30pm exclusive buying event is a joke also! The Recession goes on...
How are the multimedia capabilities of the Android phones?
Right now I carry a (verizon) phone plus an ipod touch. The latter is used primarily for podcasts on my commute, plus web, mail, and apps. I was considering getting switching to AT&T, to consolidate phone and ipod in the iphone. If the Droid could handle podcasts as well as an ipod, I'd be well on my way toward staying with verizon.

Well expecting a high end Blue Ray laptop for $399 is asking a bit much lol..... but I do understand where you are coming from. I did get a nice dual-core laptop for $350 thanks to the My Cheap tech site posted below and 32" HDTV as well, all without dealing with fat angry people at Wal-Mart on Black Friday, so that you Engadget for this post :) (no offense to angry people or fat or Wal-art)
I'm just looking for a T.V. That Sears 52 inch Samsung TV is actually a step down from the previous model in terms of specs according to CNET. Ofcourse the ignorant masses won't know that and they will see it "Ohhhh newer model number must have shiny new stuff".

I honestly can't get excited over any black friday deals. The BF deals I see typically are items 10 bucks less than what they normally are for the rest of the year. It doesn't make want to take part in trampling an innocent person at WalMart.

^Does anyone know exactly what model PC is Best Buy offering in this bundle? For a deal like this I wouldn't mind buying another graphics card and PSU separately.
It's a tough call since none of the desktops on the site are listed having 1TB hard drives.
Whenever more information gets posted, try and see if you can grab a shot of the inside or a listing of the available slots on the motherboard. HP does some funky stuff with the available ports on their motherboards, ie: My friend's didn't have a PCI-E slot, one of our customer's computers lacked any PCI slots at all.
Just a word of caution is all.

Wow, 6 free games with a Xbox 360 Elite! No way! Too bad the 6 games are terrible, why not just give us $100 off on the Elite. That would actually be a good deal.

It also says "Same price new and upgrade". I may be clutching at straws here, but does that mean "new contract" or "new purchase". I will happily camp out all night for a contract-free DROID at the upgrade price. I'm sure most everybody else would too though. Are you listening Best Buy?

I will not leave the house this black friday nothing is worth the trouble. The ps3 slim deal is the best I have seen yet, but still isn't that great of a deal. You can find plenty of ps3's a lot cheaper on craigslist that can still play ps2 games

Well... I already sprung up for a Klipsch 2.1 speaker for $131down from $154 from Worst Buy w00t!I'll pick up in-store by next week. I'm actually gonna go there black Friday morning to buy Crysis 2 for $5 because F**K MW2 no dedi servers...
I am NOT getting up at 3am for this crap. Black Friday sucks, its for the womens. I live for cyber Monday, and if that sucks as well so be it, we are all broke anyway. There is some stuff I have not gotten around to buying online though, things like tires (Sears has a good deal) that neither I nor anyone I know can install. So this is not without its benefits.
Some decent TV deals, but very blah apart from that otherwise. Pretty surprising that the retailers are not fighting harder to excite customers, given the state of things this year--at this rate, the retailers are going to have a poor season ...

Agreed, overstock or google shopping normally gets you close without have to camp for hours on end. My time is worth more than that $50 bucks I'd have to spend for a tent to be the first in line
I think most people around these parts are hoping for online deals as not to subject themselves to the inconvenience of standing in line. All is not lost - keep you eyes peeled, last year I got two spectacular deals that were unadvertised until last minute.

Seriously, the only interesting stuff I think we'll get this Black Friday is from Amazon. Last year they had a pretty good sale on Blu-ray movies for about 1/2 off. I remember getting Transformers for $13 shipped when it cost $25.
Amazon comes out with their Black Friday sales tomorrow, so we'll see what they offer. Otherwise, I'm not really going to bother getting up early that day.
