The next Engadget Show tapes November 22nd with HTC's Drew Bamford and Chris Grant of Joystiq

The show takes place at the Tishman Auditorium at Parsons The New School for Design. As you may already know, we film live in front of an audience once a month -- but if you can't make it, don't worry. We're bringing the video back home to Engadget (and as a free download here, in the iTunes Store, or the Zune Marketplace) for your viewing pleasure.
The beautiful venue (which you can see in a photo after the break) is located at 66 W. 12th Street between 5th and 6th Aves. Seating is limited and tickets will be handed out on a first-come, first-served basis -- which means if you want to join us in the audience for the show, you'll have to arrive early and be prepared for a little wait.
Here are the facts you need to know about the show:
- The show is graciously sponsored by Nokia, and hosted by Parsons The New School for Design
- The total show length will be around an hour
Here is what you need to know if you want to be part of the audience:
- There is no admission fee -- tickets are completely free
- The event is all ages
- The venue seats just over 450 people
- Parsons students are welcomed, and we encourage them to come!
- Tickets will be available for pickup at the Tishman Auditorium at 2PM on the 22nd, and we're strongly encouraging people to get their tickets and not stand in line -- if you have a ticket, you'll have a seat!
- You'll need to hold onto your ticket stub to be eligible for the giveaways
- You cannot pick up tickets for other people -- if you want your friend to get a ticket, bring your friend!
- The show begins at 5PM, and doors will open at 4:30PM

Will there be a livestream?
@hakili I don't think we're livestreaming this one, but it will be up the day after, most likely!
... wait, you can't rep editors comments? Tyranny, I say!
Better question, will you guys be mentioning these controversial endorsements?: http://i36.tinypic.com/33a6our.jpg
I think everyone discovered that two days ago (the ranking editors thing). Awesome that they've worked on that rather than fixing the broken comments system that I've all but given up with.
The no livestreaming thing is so bothersome. Is this 1998?
@Destricto_Ense:
Is it wrong I whipped out my QR code reader and used it on your avatar?

@nerdtalker Some big changes coming to comments, amongst other things. The ranking thing is just a small part of it.
You can't just tell us can you?
Hey josh just put the vote icons back but don't register the clicks >:D
I think they should only put ONE vote button back. I'm pretty sure you wouldn't be unhappy if users could ONLY uprank you :P
Get some details on the HTC Dragon / Passion!
OMG Yes please!! Beat him 'till he spills the beans on the Dragon / Passion... I mean how awesome would it be to launch a product on the Engadget show...
I think you guys should host one in L.A.
Really wish I could be there, but I'll have to wait for the video. I'm sure it will be great as always!
So Nokia has sponsored shows about:
WebOS
Windows Mobile
and now Android.
Smart.
what were they expecting? its a show about gadgets.
Mr. Topolsky, can you please please please please ask if they're going to make a Tegra Android based smart-phone within the near future, and if there are any details on that??? Also what they're going to have in store for the coming year???
Thank you Sir.
-Jim Rome
@BonerInSweatPants88 We'll definitely talk about what their plans are for hardware platforms!
@BonerInSweatPants88 Also, I don't know what to say about your screen name here.
His avatar isn't lacking description either...
Thank you Sir!!! We're all looking forward to it!
And about my screen name and avatar, it's from an episode on my show that's very memorable... I like to keep it as a remembrance and dedicated it to Carl from Rose Meade, CA. He kinda sparked in more interest in my show after-wards.
And also, just a little thing for some humor around here, that's all.

Ah, Joshua. Every time i can't uprank you, a capacitive touchscreen dies..
sorry
This was meant to be a reply to the first comment
Hm? Oh I'm sorry too, I guess. Yes, you can give me a hug, but I'd prefer a handshake.
Does anyone still watch this after the first episode and the arrogance the host displayed to the CEO of Palm?
@KEROLiUKAS I know! He was SUCH a jerk!
lol josh
come on, i think we all want to enjoy this show, and it's a criticism that's been repeated ad-nauseum. i'm sure being a host isn't an easy job and there's going to be growing pains so just, you know, keep it in mind?
Josh, I'd uprank you, but... well...
While on the example of writer's responding to comments that are direct attacks at them, yet take no interest in forwarding our concerns to the tech department about the comment system, I found another weird bug. When an admin (Josh) replies to my comment, i get a different link in my email.
Hey there,
Joshua Topolsky has replied to one of your comments!

Why are we being linked to your sandbox?
I believe it has something to do with the changes they (the powers that be behind Engadget) made to non-ranking of editor comments.
Oh wow, they're afraid of being downranked? haha.
lol i just noticed that you can't rank the comments of topolsky. Are they really afraid of being downranked again like the downrank party a few days ago? man up and take criticism topolsky
you better ask why they are so loyal to windows mobile because i would buy the HD2 in a heartbeat if it ran ... well, anything else
I thought they said something about biting the and that fed them.
I hope we get some more info out of those HTC guys. I get a kick out of their stuff; it's incredible. That motto of theirs, "Quietly Brilliant", is such an understatement.
JOSH! whats good? wish i could make it, but im down here in philly with a meeting at the job that day. no worries, the faster you guys upload it, the faster yours truly skyblaze here'll watch it with some cheesecake, ya digg
Ooooh....HTC software engineer. I'd love to see what he has to say on the direction of mobile phone UIs
Awesome. Looking forward to it. =]
Y'know, ya picked the wrong Joystiqqer to be your guest roundtabler on the show... if you listened to their podcast, it's practically a running gag that Chris Grant doesn't play video games.
That said, he's probably the one that lives closest to NY, so... I guess he'll do?
While I may not play as many games as Ludwig or Justin, I play nearly every major release and finish more than half of those. Also: you don't need to have a gamerscore of 70k to discuss video games intelligently - also, maybe they'll also want to talk about orbital sanders ... I think the latest from Bosch really offers a lot of value for your dollar. :-P
Better lighting please :)
Yesyesyes.
I like seeing the guests.
Although the last one wasn't too bad.
OMG CHRIS CRANT.
I haven't tuned in yet (lazy), but I most definitely will this week.
You better not embarrass us, Chris. I don't know how you'd manage it, but I'm sure you'd think of a way.
Maybe this time we'll be able to hear uninterrupted complete thoughts during the discussion segment. Hey, one can dream right?
I enjoyed the Ballmer interview and especially the roundtable afterwards, but the lighting was bad... no more film noir!
OMG! :) I am so glad I get to finally go to an engadget event!
I'd come if it wasn't 2500 miles away.
Nilay should host one.....
I'm not sure he would want to.
