Sciphone's Android-toting N21 unboxed, dual SIM slots caught rockin' the suburbs
It may look a lot like the General Mobile DSTL1, but SciPhone's N21 still has its very own soul. Our BFFs over at Engadget Chinese were able to wrangle one in, and naturally they took the opportunity to score a photo shoot and host it for the world to see. There aren't too many surprises to be found, but if you're looking for a pinch of KIRF, twin SIM slots, a 5 megapixel camera and the not-exactly-newest version of Google's mobile operating system, you know where to look.

Two SIM card slots?? Why?
Two breasts on a woman? Why not?
One business line, one personal
More like one sex line, one personal.
Because it increases your chances of geting a good signal anywhere.
And in some countries, calls within the same company are much cheaper.
2 slots 1 phone.
When I was a little boy I saw Total Recall and I thought that there were women with 3 boobies...
umm.. I dont know where this comment is going...
oh yea why not 3 sim cards?
one for data!
Maybe you could used both as a bonded link for AT&T so you could make that giant EDGE network they have almost seem like a real 3G network!!!!
In some countries your prepaid credit expires after 1 week, while in others there is no expiry date. So, if you want to at least be able to send a very important sms when you need to, you keep one for sending sms messages (which now cost less in the EU thx to new regulation), and the other so that you may receive calls locally
Could seem strange to you ....but it's rather common here to a single (one) person carrying 2 or 3 mobile phone from different network operators...
In China nationwide roaming charge is ridiculous so people like to have a "home" number and buy prepaid cards while traveling.
Twin Sluts very nice
One to answer, one to make call. cheaper that way in many asian providers.
Android this, Android that, I am starting to hate Android. I get that its better than windows 6.5, but thats no that hard to do. Google is on one of there take over the industry, then the world moods.
Thank you for valuable input, Mr. secret agent boy.
Wow, you managed to make an exact 200 char post of utter nonsense ramblings.
impressive.
I also hate Android already. Android and Healthcare, both being shoved down our throat.
gosh dang get all pissy
I dunno about a General Mobile DSTL1, but this thing looks a lot like a HTC Touch Pro/Fuze.
Wow, I never thought I'd see the day when Engadget respectfully featured a KIRF.
But at least for the next time,
1- Take the screen protector off
2-Wipe off the phone with a micro fiber cloth before you take any macro pics please... finger prints just scream NASTY!
Indeed.
Two sim card slots isn't enough.
Resisting... urge... to... That's... what..... Sh- DAMMIT!
At over $200, might be a little to much money to risk on it, looks really nice tho
I'm glad the Android Kirfs are starting to arrive.
I've never been keen on the idea of buying a Kirf WinMo phone.
But this could be noice.
Anyone find a reliable source to buy this one?
This is what I've forever been hoping for, I have am a photographer and use a seperate SIM card/phone number for my business and the other for my personal calls.
I can only imagine there's no chance this one will run Cyanogen ROM :(
Anyways, just as Seraphim I'd like to know if anyone found a reliable source to buy this one.
Rockin' the suburbs just like Quiet Riot did.
Usually these models don't have Google Apps installed on them (like the General Mobile thing), any word on the situation with this phone? As you can buy it directly from Sciphone ($ 215) people would want to know about functionality I reckon?
Oh yeah...almost forgot to mention: the source for buying, of course, is www.mysciphone.com (there's a link to their own shops there)
