No design, no appropriate colors no nothing!? Almost $200 for 8 gb! I'd rather get Sony's latest Walkman NW-S744 G 8GB S740 series from Japan through ebay directly for $199 8gb!!!

It probably plays more formats than the Sony, tho. (Not to mention more formats than anything from Apple or Microsoft, goes without saying...)

god everyone is coping everyone and apple, archos and creative is the only ones making new designs.

yeah i think she's pretty ugly too compared to past models and just not that good looking in general. I think samsung is running out of models to whore out their products.

Hey Samsung.... When I expect an update for the Samsung Impression? I would like to add widgets and log on to more than one instant messenger client.
If you can see, that something was designed, the designer tried too hard.
I do like the look, this looks like a competitor to the Sansa Fuze I was planning to buy (some sophisticated features probably missing, though).
Is it just me or does it bear an striking resemblance to the 2nd gen Zune's? That squircle is impossible to mistake.

Whoever is buying these 8GB PMPs, stop it. I'm sick of hearing about a thousand 8, 16, and 32GB PMPs that look pretty and are terribly expensive. Why won't anyone put out a competitor to the iPod Classic? It's such a crappy product, it should be easy to compete with.
They did. It was called the Zune 80. Nobody cares now because nontouch models from both companies are going extinct
I need some advice, I'm buying a new mp3 player, I always used an Ipod nano 1st gen. But now everybody has an iPod, plus the new nanos are becoming boring, and a lot of people also have an iTouch. I like Sony's mp3 players a lot, but the thing is, I kinda like iTunes and I would rather not use Windows Media Player. My mp3 player must be flat so it can easily be put in trousers and sizes from 16 to 32 Gigs more or the less.
Why not get the Cowon S9? The brilliant 16 million AMOLED screen will be a big wow, and the thing can support alot more codecs for music and movies than most mp3 players, and the sound is superb! its from 16 to 32 gigs, and is a touchscreen, so you can enjoy your movies. The good thing is that it has physical buttons, so its easy to change songs, volume etc. good luck
Totally agree with everything rlawlals said. I love my 32 gig S9, and the physical buttons are a great feature to have when you want to leave the player in your pocket and leave the touchscreen off.
sony walkman provides a software "Content Transfer" which lets you synch your iTunes music playlist with your player .. but thats it ...
Still I love my Walkman from Sony cuz Sound isnt that much inferior to Cowon (I only consider the Walkman X as equal as the Cowon S9) and the Walkman is smaller ... just dont get the E-Series .. they are just ... ugly and unuseful imho
