Eee PC 1005HR unboxed complete with 1366 x 768 display
It's taken ASUS a while, but there's finally an Eee PC with more than 600 pixels of vertical resolution -- the new Eee PC 1005HR sports a 10.1-inch 1366 x 768 display, which is good enough for 720p HD. Of course, it's debatable whether or not the 1.6GHz Atom N280 and integrated GMA 950 graphics can actually make decent use of that much screen, but at least you'll be able to rock some huge spreadsheets. Or at least you'd be able to if you were in Japan, where this unit was found -- there's sadly no word on availability or pricing Stateside. Check a video after the break.

1366 x 768 display. On a 10.1 screen?
Well they won't be visiting engadget much. It's barely readable on my 11.6" 1366 x 768
@Jay Evans
Why don't you use the zoom-in function built into your browser? (well, unless you're using something ancient like IE 6)
@Jay Evans or the ever popular font size options in your browser settings.
Love how that battery slides into the netbook. Lock 'n load, baby!

WRONG. Asus already makes a netbook with a 1366x768 that is available right now - the 1101ha - I'm using it right now.
@junkdna
Of course the 1101HA is an 11.6" model. This is at least their first *10.1" netbook* with a 1366x768 display.
@Plothole: Intel's integrated graphics are, I'm sorry, garbage. Intel knows this, which is why they're dumping them on the market by tying them to their processors. Intel will literally pay you to take their worthless integrated graphics off their hands. That's right: it's cheaper to buy an Atom proc with Intel graphics than standalone. They know that given the choice, nobody in their right mind would take what they're selling over ION.
I like this netbook !
I have a dell mini 10 with this screen and it blows away my dad's eeepc with the 1024. Just saying.
