Neptune's Trident case mod honors the god of liquid cooling

Nope, this wouldn't look good in Tron Legacy, unfortunately. Tron Legacy is being designed by real designers. And I think this is extremely hideous and very impractical.
I'll never get why computer cases have to light up your room...
That monitor looks really old fashioned, apart from that its cool.
My god -- it is the MR. Freeze (Schwarzenegger) dream machine.
I wonder what type of power requirements this thing has.
is powered by human souls.
unicorn blood.
blood of a first born baby.. and several drops of unicorn tears
Wow you guys are fast at commenting, I clicked when it had 0 comments and 20 seconds later it had 5
I don't want to be offensive but pc tuning like car tuning, turns you in a idiot.
I remember a colleague that spend $300 in a colling solution for to overclock their pc, while the alternative to buy a more decent cpu was about a extra $40 bucks.
Anyways, a full of light "x-mas tree" case is annoying at best, not only if you want to keep your pc always on (even in the night) but also it can distract you (if the led blink).
what turned you into an idiot?
Don't call someone an idiot when you can't even speak with proper grammar
plenty of reasons to overclock. Your assumption is that these people did not buy the best of the best THEN overclock it to go even further. those people who go and buy mid level CPU then overclock it are the more unusual ones.
the light thing is simply just a point of personal interest. I dont like it, but some people are in heaven.
I think some of you are missing the point. Its more art then function, although it does pack a good performance punch as well. I think it is beautiful. You need to look at more than just the one picture posted here, there are a lot of detailed pieces that went into this. I personally would love to have this sitting at my desk.
I have 1 GTX 260 in my PC and find it more than adequate for gaming. What do u do with 3?! Not that I'd mind having em'.. :p
It's a great piece of work, although impractical and also annoying to a point. I would not want to have that case anywhere close to being seen on my desk otherwise I'd be having a raveparty in my bedroom when I sleep and i'm a fan of the eternal darkness when I sleep..
apart from all that it's pretty cool to see that kinda work.
Very clever arrangement on the HDDs and the GPUs. The water cooling appears to cut down on the girth of the graphics cards which I like. I want to try this on my GTX 260, but where do you get the waterblock for the GPU and given the rats nest of cables I currently have adding water cooling to the equation might just be the the straw that breaks the camel's back.
@Teer1998
Blocks for the 280/260's can be had here:

Wow, that's amazing... it would be even more amazing if it wasn't OLD NEWS! Holy crap engadget... I come here for breaking news, not to see something that was featured months ago in CPU.
GTX260's? Weak, so weak.
I know having extraneous lights on a computer is subject to one's taste and all, but many comments about it assume that one will have the computer on 24/7. Do so many people really always have their computer in a fully "on" state, even when they're sleeping?
yes. there are people who leave their computer on to do stuff that does not require user management.
encoding videos
downloading stuff
torrents
uploading information
etc
As a film editor I leave my computer on overnight quite often to render large segments of my stuff OR simply outputting the movie through compression. I dont want to sit and wait for it, i might as well go to sleep and let it do its job.
True, I've left stuff on rendering overnight(s) or downloading. I guess I just didn't think it was common enough to see so many people commenting on it.
Ok, good enough, carry on - maybe they should make sure they have a stealth mode for these things so you can enjoy the pretties when you want and have it dark at night.
Well, my MacPro stays on but remains in a sleep-state until a scheduled back-up wakes it up.
Regards,
Dan
I agree. I'm no fan of having a light party in the bedroom when I want total darkness.
I always leave my PC on 'cause I don't like having to shut over 15 windows and then having to re-open the the next day. Not that it's awfully long on openSUSE 11.2 but still. I also torrent a lot therefore I don't shut my PC too often.
Hmmmm, looks cool, but reminds me of the dude who spent four years and $50k to make a machine for his PhD that made a cup of coffee.
Ok, for those of us that have a few years on the clock, can you imagine what your guests may think when they see this thing? “Oh no, this guy has no life! What else does he have; miniature toy soldiers?
I got that g19 keyboard and that TJ07 case in black with sidepanel too but of course not as nicely modded as that.
@MoonWalkerCTE It's actually a heavily modified Lian Li V2000.
Why does it look like it came from a Fast & Furious movie?
wrd, this was in the last issue of CPU. but were do you stick the dvd's??
uhhh where's the link to the actual page?
