Keepin' it real fake, part CCXLIII: faux MacBook Air review (video)
Our good friends at Shanzai.com have recently got their hands on what they believe to be the king of all MacBook Air KIRFs, and put it through the ringer. Expecting a laugh riot? Not so fast -- what we have here is a pretty decent netbook, apparently. Features include an Intel Atom N280, 13-inch display, good build quality, a form factor similar in size and weight to Apple's original, a real chicklet keyboard, a remote control, and I/O options rivaling the original (including an Ethernet port, two USB ports, and HDMI). Not bad for $260. But don't take our word for it -- peep the video after the break for the whole sordid tale.

Strange that that page makes no mention of ION. Let me remind you what that is:
"Nvidia Ion is a system/motherboard platform that includes Nvidia's GeForce 9400M (MCP79) chipset, DDR3-1066 or DDR2-800 SDRAM, and the Intel Atom processor."
http://www.apple.com/macbookair/specs.html
If this had a netbook like battery life, it be closer to 5-6 hours of battery life.
Guys, do something about fonts... comments are hardly readable, my eyes are crying...
Here it is for people to order. Just stick an apple sticker on it. It's called the iview A2 http://www.a2netbook.com/specs.php
@electroboy53 well that would be it, except that the reviewers paid $260 for it and these guys want $399. No thanks.
@electroboy53
They're two different netbooks, the one you linked to is made by ii-View... look at the keyboards.
Haha.
I found a site that sell them. It's like ebay for Chinese whole seller.
Unfortunately, its not $260.

@max1001
I don't think that's the model in the review. They have different keyboards.
@NirvanaFC
the only difference is the color -_-
@max1001 Great find although I´m more happy about the fact that it ships in black as well and without any fake logo.
Sorry but most netbooks nowadays rock 3 - 4hrs on average and about 6hrs on 6-cells...not 1 and half hour..
For some reason i took umbrage with that part...
It's still pretty cheap... $370 AUD... I'm going to buy one!
Available on eBay now from an Italian seller.
Quite far from US$260 though :(
Gonna see if I can get one from China next time I go there.
but why is it white?
if it was silver, without the apple logo, with 2gb ram and a better battery and graphics i would buy it
I would love one of these; great for throwing around.
I guess by copying the Air, it doesn't look too bad and the price is lower than most netbooks out there.
can someone please give me a reliable site to get one of these? i think $260 is a hell pf a price! and we need better specstoo.
Does it have a DVD Burner? If it does, then I'm getting it, no doubts.
The resolution is too low for that screen size. 1024x600 shouldn't be used on anything bigger than 10.2", really. Taskbar would be HUEG.
13.3" at 1280x800 (or 1366x768 though ew 16:9 ftl) would be excellent.
Check out this shameless scam...one Stephanie Walker of Minneapolis, Minnesota has listed one of these for $650 on cragislist, representing it as an actual MacBook Air.
