Sciphone's Android-loving N21 gets some time on video
There's just something about Sciphone's Android-based handset, the N21, that we can't get enough of. This KIRF-tastic little dude has attitude in droves, to go with its clunky exterior. The 3-inch touchscreener boasts a 5 megapixel cam, WiFi, and an onscreen keyboard -- not to mention what looks like a killer stylus experience. In the video (which is after the break), you can check out the many and varied features of this looker of a device.

First time i ever seen a KiRF with a real OS.
@pachi72 welcome to the age of Android. With a free smartphone OS available, there'll be more and more KIRFs running it.
um, yeah....awesome
Does anybody here dislike the new Engadget?
@eruh
lol, that's a little joke, right...?
No one likes it!
@zomg0t
i like it.
I NOT like the new Engadget!!!
I like the new Engadget NOT!!!
I like the new Engadget (pause.........................) NOT!!!
@eruh
I don't, but Greasemonkey saves the day!
greasemonkey makes pages load noticeably slower for me and I find that only so much can be done with adblock element hiding...
@eruh I like it. Especially the new comments section. And the rest looks cool too.
@eruh I don't really dislike it. But I liked the old one better
I seen one something like this with android, no marketplace with these phones.
There is going to be a flood of KIRF android phone coming soon.
possibly the best looking/ working KIRF I've seen... How it would hold up with regular use is another question...
Dislike the new Engadget? Not more then the old.
@dieterk
I can see that all is well with the comment system.
btw, How do I verify my account?
@brokensticks can u please tell me how u did it??
Looks great actually, I'm sure it can be hacked to add in the other google apps. But doubt it would ever be updated after you originally bought it. Wonder if it has att's 3G humm
Wow other then the small res screen it's a pretty smooth and fast device. I would want one as a spare for my G1 or to give to my girlfriend.
except mostly it depends on if it is a resistive or capacitive screen, and considering it can use a stylus apparently, its most likely resistive.. no thanks
dual sim?
thats uber glossy :0
it looks quite usable and speedy. a pretty nice KIRF
Rocking.... Android 1.5 (or maybe 1.0). No thanks.
surprised that android supports two sims
Looks good, though it reminds me of a design I posted on an ID forum 2 years or so ago.
However, why do they use that super glossy screen? That would be almost enough to be a dealbreaker for me. Yes, of course all phones have glossy screens (why?), but this one...
I just hope noone's believing the 5 Megapixel label without actually testing it :) I used to work with KIRFs and every second phone has "x megapixels" printed or embossed on the case. All of them had VGA cameras. Some even went as far as faking the resolution setting in the firmware.
they didn't even do anything to the rom. and it looks a developer rom to me
I have not liked the phone in particular. With so much variety and some great launches from the top players like Motorola's Droid, HTC HD2, Samsung Omnia, HTC Hero, the N-97, why would the Indian Market want to explore into unknown territories. Especially after the launch of winmo 6.5, a lot of users will upgrade to this OS and explore a lot more on their existing Hardware
yes its true i m looking forward to buy this phone.even it has microsoft mobile office is an inbuilt feature on your winmo 6.5 where you can edit and compose files.
very tiny resistive screen, no thanks!
