Zune HD getting magenta and purple flavors on December 1st

Not enough variety in your Zune HD color palette? How about a friendly dab of magenta and purple to mix up the proceedings? Microsoft's Zune Store is now showing some grayed out selectors for purple and magenta color options for the player, which will apparently be available on December 1st -- just in time for something or other. No word on whether these will be available for both 16GB and 32GB versions, but pink already representing on the 32 gigger, we'd really hope Microsoft would spread the love down to the cash strapped.[Thanks, Jerel]
Now the 3 people that actually own a Zune can each have their own color.
If you check out Zune store, it says "red" is also coming soon... but red has been available since Zune Originals has been doing custom HDs... some people on the Zune forums even have pictures of them...

They probably just ran out and say they are coming soon. I don't think the devices are made for the order, they just have a bunch they hold and customize them with the originals once they are ordered.

MS needs to start selling all of their colors at retail locations instead of just on their site. Better selection is always a plus.
It will now beat the iPod touch with this color option. No if's ands or but's.

You're telling me people still buy these things? I think I've seen more CD PLAYERS than Zunes around campus (and this is including the old brick Zunes lol).

I'm glad that zune's have so many color variations. Other companies can learn a lot from this but I won't point fingers >.> You'd be amazed as to how a product can appeal to a consumer as soon as it's released in his/her favorite color.

While I'm all for happy little colors on happy little Zune's Where art thou some MANLY colors... Black, pink and purple are all good but who said all these MP3 players have to always rock either feminine or neon-like colors?

I just hope MS brings the zune HD to Canada this Christmas and up the storage to 64GB, I've been holding out on getting one of these bad boys because 32GB is just not good enough for me.
